Tim Boyle and Terry Bradshaw.
I watched Terry Bradshaw and the Steelers play on T.V. before CABLE...He was not an amazing Q.B. and it wasn't until Lynn Swann and John Stallworth arrived as receivers that he was ever mentioned as anything but an average Q.B... Bradshaw threw the ball to a SPOT and Swan and Stallworth used their amazing skills to catch those mostly highly thrown balls. Kinda like Trent Dilfer..it was the players around him with the real talent he was just average for the NFL and lucky to be playing for the Ravens. My point to this long rant is...The Jets just need Boyle to throw to a SPOT and let these talented Jets receivers earn their paychecks!
Terry Bradshaw did it for 4 Super Bowls surely Boyle can do it for 1 game. The Jets + 9.5

Tim Boyle compared to Terry Bradshaw?

In all his NFL action Tim Boyle has 3 TDs and 9 ints!!

Don't undersell Terry Bradshaw. He threw the ball on a rope and was a tough son of a b.

Comparing Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard, and who?, oh yea, Xavier Gipson to Swan and Stallworth is sacrilegious.

Three Hall of Famers to four bums.

Good luck but I don't see it.

...yeah Bradshaw was average.
But putting a guy like Boyle in Bradshaws shoes is a reach IMO against a team that can score many points.
In addition, Miami has the best receiver in the league with Hill, so the better question may be, who on NY can stop him?
Even if they fold him to one score, the Jets are nearly dead last against the run, while Miami is at the top of the list (no.2) with 145 yds per game (5.6 yd avg) rushing.

That alone could be what opens up the Phins passing game.
The Jets also lack QB protection and time to throw- which contributes to poor QB play.

BOL with the points. But Im just not ready to put Boyle in Bradshaws shoes...

LOL…I get it! I grew up an Oakland Raider fan so I don’t love Terry Bradshaw. My point was if this Boyle guy can have 1 game to use these great receivers then they have a chance …Jets have a great D

I wouldn’t call Jets receivers great. Wilson has the potential to be great but he’s not there yet. Lazard?!? Nuff said. Lol

They were going to be Aaron Rodgers receivers….think he felt the same?
so just because they were going to be Aaron Rodgers’ receivers they are great all of a sudden?!? LOL!! You and I must have very different definitions of what great is. Lazard was never a great receiver in Green Bay with Rodgers, nor will he be a great receiver in the future. Wilson has potential but he’s not great right now. Through gaining experience by being in the league, he has a good shot at being great. Are you a Jets fan?
