I'm not betting the game but I would bet on BYU based on their offensive fire power. You're right Valpo does not want to get into a shootout (see Green Bay) but they've been really good with slowing down tempo and playing their game. I'm sure BYU will continue to run and gun no matter what Valpo does so it can go either way really quick. My take on this game is that BYU tend to lose their leads because of poor defense down the stretch so they're always vulnerable to come from behind losses. On the other hand, if Valpo takes a lead BYU has the ability to come back quick. Valpo ranked #3 in overall FG % defense but #79 in 3pt fg % defense. BYU ranked #18 in 3pt fg made so it will come down to whether or not Fischer, Emery & Company can stay hot from behind the arc.
Either way I love watching BYU play because they don't sit on the shot clock and run some stupid 1 on 1 play in the last 8 seconds like some of these other teams are doing. So hard to enjoy watching that kind of basketball.
Yea that's definitely smart to hedge some back so that you're not wagering too much, but don't to the point where you have no skin in the game. You liked this game in a blind spot situation so don't let the line movement bully you out of the play. What if BYU wins in a blow out and you hedge out only to end up paying juice. Plus I'm seeing 70% action on Valpo so it looks like either heavy public pushing Valpo line up OR both public and sharps on the same side on this one causing Vegas to push for BYU action. I've been against the line on the right side and the wrong side before but it's all unpredictable. In the end you just gotta go with your gut!
