From an entertainment perspective, the Kings/Canucks game will probably be the most exciting game of the night. I'm predicting this to be a preview of a first round match up, even though L.A. is currently in the 9th spot and out.

What's interesting about this match up is that even though Vancouver is 2nd in the Pacific division, and L.A. is the odd team out at this point, the odds makers still have L.A. as -120 favorite to Vancouver who is at home. What gives on this line? Is L.A. a public team? I've never thought of them as one, but Vancouver is one IMO.

I'm siding with the odds makers, (KINGS -120)

Yeah, but shootouts aren't really reflective of team play, so I put that stat in the bad luck trash bin. Their extra time numbers will improve in the playoffs where there are no shoot outs.

Sure.. if the Kings play the Canucks in the first round and aren't the favorite, self imposed ban for a year, no posting. If they are then you are banned for a year.

If LA meets VAN in Rnd 1 I could see it around even in Van, and around -160 for the Kings in LA. And I will fucking unload on LA in all cases. There's definitely a chance that LA is fave in Van though - more likely than not IMO. Look at last night where they went off at almost -125 in Vancouver. Best of all, I hope LA plays ANA in Rnd 1. Another matchup where I will unload on LA...

Series price wise, I think the Kings will be favored in the 3rd seed against both Calgary and Vancouver. Ducks would be favored if LA is the wild card but that will almost be like home ice for the Kings, as the Honda center is always half empty and half the crowd will be Kings fans.

LA was the favorite as an 8th seed in both the western conference finals and Cup in 2012, so it's not like it hasn't happened before.

I said probably, I think its unlikely they don't finish at least third in the pacific. I'll take the bet if we go Kings will be favorites in the first round regardless of placing or match ups.

I took the Leafs tonight +200 against the Canucks. Their spot is on the line tonight and I expect them to fall where they belong, battling for the wild card with Winnipeg.
