Michigan will be a play. This line will fall to 4 by friday!

Michigan at home with there defense, and there highpowered Offense, will WIN this game. I just want a better number protecting against a backdoor.

I am liking Purdue +5 as they have covered 3 of the last 5 in this series and Mich might not be focused knowing they play MSU the following week.

I am so sick of this "looking ahead" rationale.

Michigan 27, Purdue 20

Michigan is a great pick because the Big 10 will come down to 2 games this yr and this is the first
Purdue @ Michigan
I like MI up to -6

The biggest game I think will be Ohio State
Michigan although may be out of the BCS will take the Big 10 this yr.

I myself will be at both games and I will guarentee Michigan wil cover atleast to -6
Thats my thoughts and I am not even a UofM fan

I'm still on the sidelines as of yet. But I wanted to comment on your stmt Robfunk. I hope you're refering to Only the 4th quarter of the Minnesota game cause they got Dominated in the trenches for the first 3 quarters.

Frumpy, thanks for your thoughts but I have to make a comment about your choice of language. When you say guarantee I'm almost under the impression that you're offering to cover my lost bets. And I know that's not the case so I have to discredit the rest of your post somewhat as a result. Even if you say you're 99% sure atleast you've got an out.

Something has to be said for the coaching in this game. I have to give credit to Terry Malone for mixing it up recently. And by going vertical, Michigan is finally making better use of all that potential. But I think I have to give the nod to Chaney in this matchup of OC's. And how about that Orton kid last week?

If Lloyd Carr holds true, we might see a lot of Michigan trying to force it up the gut of a defense allowing only 66 yards/per game on the ground. That would be an enormous waste if we don't see a more balanced attack until late in the game. And don't expect a collapse like Minnesota out of this Purdue team if they so happen to have a lead late in the game. Then again it won't matter much if if you're laying 5 anyway.

Someone please find me a good team that Mich has beat this year. The Boilers win at Wisky was a BIG WIN. I think Mich is over rated and I will play Purdue + the points. Still 5 at Blue Marlin.

I love QB Navarre's arm , but his accuracy in big games leaves a lot to be desired.

Also, at this point in the season I like wagering on dogs who have a better W-L record than their opponent.

As a Michigan fan, the better defense is on the Purdue sideline.

Also, Navarre is just not a big game QB. He will get picked late in the game and Purdue will have a shot to win it outright.

For me, this is a tough game to handicap.

There's nothing at this point in the season that would give Michigan more credibility than a convincing win over Purdue in the Big House.

In their L 5 games, Michigan has:

1. lost outright @ OREGON, 27-31
2. won/no cover v INDIANA +33', 31-17
3. lost outright @ IOWA, 27-30
4. were handed a gift at MINN, 38-35
5. beat up on the hapless ILLINI, 56-14.

After being blind sided by BG in the first game of the season, Purdue has been rock solid. Victims include: WForest, ARIZONA, NOTRE DAME, ILLINOIS, PENN STATE, Wisconsin.

But Michigan will be Purdue's toughest test of the year...in a very tough venue.

Whewww!

Gonna' be a great game to watch.

No Play.

I would like to see Mich win big, so I can pound MSU against the big bad Wolves next week. Spartans will be revenging a 49-3 UM win from last year.

Mich-Purdue, take the under. Purdue with a great D and UM will be conservative.

standeford and stubblefield vs the #2 pass defense in the country..are there 2 better receivers on one team anywhere in the country?...this should be interesting....as always, when 2 solid clubs get it on,take the defense and the points...

This whole game factors on one overlooked detail, MICHIGAN'S SPECIAL TEAMS!!! Michigan has great skill players, but their special teams seem to play about every two weeks or so. If their special teams doesn't allow any returns, blocks etc. they will win here. They would be undefeated right now if their special teams was worth a nickle.
