Where is the tripping call on Pittsburgh, after Helm was dumped?
Looks like the zebras got the e-mail from Betteman, you know the one, the one with the 'make sure this goes back to Detroit 2-2 because we need the ratings' header.

I am far from the conspiracy theorist, however in a down economy one has to wonder? Also, it has been said the whole playoffs that the calls for Pittsburgh have been up. Simply, due to the Crosby crap the league wants to milk the series to seven games.

Honestly, you're not a conspiracy theorist, but you think the economy dictates how things work on the ice? Why wouldn't last years final go 7 with Pitt winning?

If the league got what they wanted, we'd see Kings/Ranger cup finals simply for the monster local TV ratings that would bend the national numbers up in a big way.

"It has been said". Yeah, by clowns like Ivan and those who happened to have money on the other teams.

If you're far from a conspiracy theorist, I'd hate to see what you consider a real conspiracy nut.

The league still wants to let the teams "play" so the better team last year won, however it does not mean that the league does not know the economics of more games. It is very simple, look at when the economy has been "bad" most playoff series in all sports have gone to the final game.
