Whether or not most of us are under control when it comes to gambling, there are some out there who are not, and will never admit it openly.

If someone needs help in learning and understanding the willpower & composure to get themselves back on track, and their lives back in order, what is one piece of advice you would offer them?

have a close one hold on to your money, stop watching sports on tv for a week, play cards with your buddies, beat off more often, and spend time with ur kids if u have any.

I wouldn't offer them any advice because it's none of my business.

Ha. Become a moderator at a gambling forum.

Seriously, Do everything you can to limit your access to gambling. The more you are able to, the more you probably will.

But fuego, if it were your friend or family member & they were on the edge of snapping & popping a cap in their head, wouldn't it matter? (Be your business?)

:toast:

I worry about myself, my kids and my wife. My kids and my wife don't gamble. Everything else is none of my business.

If someone wants to shoot themself they have many more issues than gambling.

The only problem gamblers have is losing. They need to quit or educate themselves to where they can win.

You should not care about any team. True professionals do not care about the Redsox, the Cowboys, or the Lakers. Whether they win or lose means nothing.

If you can't view gambling in terms of an investment don't gamble.

If you don't have multiple outs in order to get the best price or lowest vig on a game don't gamble.

If you're not disciplined enough to spend 6+ hours a day handicapping and keeping team stats and league systems in the various sports you specialize in don't gamble.

life is a gamble.

find a way to convince them that they won't be able to recoup their losses by chasing. horror stories are probably the direction i would take.
