Did you know what many of us have in common?

Well, I did some research and here's the deal...

Compared with the normal population, gamblers have a higher divorce rate, a much higher drug and alcohol use, higher suicide attempts and higher rates of actually doing it to fatality too , higher cholerosterol, impulsivity, recklessness, and self destructiveness that is off the charts...

Dysfunctional families, premature births and abnormalities, much higher crime rate, tax evasion, insurance fraud and money laundering just to name a few to go with RICO...

We are more selfish, egocentric, and explosive, too...

Isn't life great?

The ONLY traits I have that you mentioned are being egocentric and consuming alcohol ever so slightly more than your average citizen.

Do not associate me with the others you have listed here please.

Thank you for your support.

Fishhead,

I deliberately left out premature ejaculation so I wouldn't embarrass you...

Thanks for reminding me to include this and good luck with your only 3 problems....

The "Rolling of the Dice" attitude and mentality can move to other aspects of your life if not careful.

Sounds to me like the Shrink has dusted off the old textbooks. Good reads - But you know what they say about statictics.

All gamblers (good and bad) have one key trait in common.

Immaturity.

Take some time off from gambling Shrink. You need a break. If I knew you personally I would suggest some counseling.

Seriously.

Come one Shrink, admit that your research was just tax writeoffs to visit Vegas & The Isles, where leisure suits, gaudy neck & hand jewelry(yet rubberband for moneyclips), bowling alley garb, jogger's wear, white patent leather shoes, beer bellied seaboarders, & a "who's who" of actual R.I.C.O Act prosecutions proliferate.

Gambling for a living definitely is high in divorce/multi-marriages, alcoholism, boom-to-bust-to-boom..., prosecution, megalomania, action/greed,etc..

Where's Arnie Wexler when you need him?

Shrink, Perhaps consult with one of your colleagues. Everything is going to be OK. You rest now.

are these the qualities of preofessional gamblers, compulsive gamblers, or just recreational gamblers?

Nothing surprising there but keep premature ejac out of the equation. I can handle my business there.
