[h=1]Gallup survey suggests sign-ups under ObamaCare not as high as White House says[/h] Published April 07, 2014FoxNews.com

A major new Gallup survey suggests the ObamaCare sign-up numbers are not as soaring as the White House claims.
The massive survey, released on Monday, shows the number of uninsured indeed has fallen to its lowest level in years, likely thanks to the Affordable Care Act. The Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index measured the share of adults without health insurance. That shrank from 17.1 percent at the end of last year to 15.6 percent for the first three months of 2014.
The decline of 1.5 percentage points would translate roughly to more than 3.5 million people gaining coverage.

What would the number be if people weren't forced to buy something?

Irrelevant. The number is the number. The initial 7 million goal was with the mandate proviso. When the signup number was way lower than expected, no one from the Republican Party had any problem believing the numbers, and revelling in ACA's failure to reach sign up expectations, and rightly so. Now that the number reached and even exceeded initial expectations, even with the early website disgrace, they have to change the narrative to all kinds of irrelevant stuff. That's why the Republicans can't capture normal, sane people in larger numbers than the amen chorus they already have, that just hates anything Obama. Normal, sane people see right through their ever changing goal posts and hypocrisy.

Was just a hypothetical question.

Do you think the number would have been higher if people weren't forced to buy it? Lower? The same?

Health Plan Premiums are Skyrocketing According To New Survey Of 148 Insurance Brokers, With Delaware Up 100%, California 53%, Florida 37%, Pennsylvania 28%

Health insurance premiums are showing the sharpest increases perhaps ever according to a survey of brokers who sell coverage in the individual and small group market. Morgan Stanley’s healthcare analysts conducted the proprietary survey of 148 brokers. The April survey shows the largest acceleration in small and individual group rates in any of the 12 prior quarterly periods when it has been conducted.

The average increases are in excess of 11% in the small group market and 12% in the individual market. Some state show increases 10 to 50 times that amount. The analysts conclude that the “increases are largely due to changes under the ACA.”

Silly Forbes. They forgot to include the word "necessarily" in front of skyrocketing.

Uh, no it isn't you idiot liar.

See, part of that 7 million includes Medicaid enrollments which was never a goal.

Your ignorance is comical.

Actually, The Poll is a major win for Obamacare, as it shows the Uninsured rate has fallen to the lowest level since 2008.

So in other words, the uninsured rate is a full % point higher than it was when Bush was in office and you think this is a "win"

You're not a moron or anything.

What a lying, duplicitous POS. The guy rails whenever anyone mentions the word Bush when talking about Obama. So what does the Liar do. Exactly what he rails against. Typical scum.

I Suspect lower. That's why Romney insisted on the mandate in his plan, and Obama copied it. But again, irrelevant question, since the projections, which have been exceeded, included the mandate.

Notice that you throw out the BS response because you don't want to address the obvious and blatant fact in his post.

Liberal Logic 101:

Before Obamacare: "45 million Americans don't have health insurance!"

After Obamacare: "7 million people clicked on our website - mission accomplished!"

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA how true

With a net gain of MAYBE 1 million new "enrolments"?

So if we take the total cost of Obamacare and divide it by the number of NEW enrolments (less than a million newly insured) imagine the cost per unit..."basic math" face)(*^%

Government planning at it's finest!

Obamacare is an absolute train wreck - NOBODY outside of the far left nut job base believes this 7 million BS, which is why they announced this "milestone" in the first place - keep the base "energized" so they don't get completely slaughtered next November.

Like everything with this corrupt regime, it's pure political BS.

We have to wait till the REAL numbers are released to see what the progress is.

Enrollments (those who are paid) - Medicare enrollees - those previously insured = Real number

What are the odds they will try to delay the real number till after the elections? Anyone want to place any odds on when the real number will be released?

The REAL Number is the number of signups, since that was the 7 Million goal stated, signups.
Of Course, the REAL story of the success or failure of Obamacare is YEARS down the road, but the Republican side is not willing to wait, as they have been proclaiming it a failure since before it came on line, with full compliance by the media.

So the real number is just signups? Not those that are enrolled and paid? Not those that were forced to sign up cause they had their policy canceled?

Just people who gave information without paying for anything?

The goal was 7 Million sign ups. It has been exceeded, maybe far exceeded when those in the pipeline at dealine complete their sign up. That is as real as can be. Any other BS is just politics as usual, moving the goalposts once the supposed unobtainable number was obtained/exceeded. We will see in a couple of months when there is more data, how many of those sign ups are paid. I'm sure when/if that figure exceeds the goal of long ago, the goalposts will be moved once again to discredit it. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...ign-up-for-obamacare-but-not-pay-the-premium/
