I'm sure some of you thought you got rid of me for good - but I'm back for more I suppose.
Where do ya'll want me to start about UGA? I can type 20 pages on 'em and not tell you everything. I would either play Clemson on the money line or nothing at all 'cause Georgia has too many unknowns. I wouldn't really recommend a play at all on this one, however. Georgia could win by 10-17 points or lose by the same margin. UGA has 9 defensive players out for this game due to injuries and suspensions. They are starting a brand new offensive line and lost Musa Smith (RB) to the pros.
Clemson has everything to play for, primarily Tommy's job, and they'll throw the kitchen sink at the Dawgs. I see plenty of 4 wides coming at UGA with some sprint draws to keep the LBs honest and not dropping into the flats. Defensively, Clemson won't scare my local high school team, so Georgia will score.
I see the edge being with the coaching. Richt at UGA has all the karma and the confidence to coach his way out of just about anything (see his record on opponent's home fields...hint: he's never lost there). DC Brian Van Gorder is as bad ass as they come and can make adjustments better than your local certified Lexus mechanic. Georgia has a wonderful team chemistry and seems to have the right attitude in facing adversity and becoming stronger as a team. The Dawgs just need to hit the field and forget about the offseason that produced nearly nothing but crappy news.
This game is one of those fun ones to watch and get to know what to expect in the coming weeks. It's a huge rivalry and anything can happen in those situations. It'll be hotter than hell in Death Valley next Saturday at noon, so somebody keep the beer cold for me until after the game.
Nice to be back, and let me know if I can help any of you out.
