A Phillies fan I know wants to bet that they will win the World series. I wanna bet that they dont. Im giving him 3-1 odds on a $20 bet So if the phillies dont win it all I win 20 bucks and if they do win I owe him 60. Is this a good bet in my position?

lol not at all...the phillies are probly like -140 max for the series...which would be like u owe him 30 if u lose....not 60 ...rodrigo lopez goes tonight and they face Lincecum saturday....they can lose those 2 easy.....i wouldnt lay 3-1... 1.5 -1 max 30 to his 20

if so then yes, you are getting a great deal considering the phillies are around 6-1 to win the world series, you should bet more than 20 bucks!!! :toast:

Yur insanely + EV here, offer him 4-1 or even 5-1 if he ups the bet, get as much money down as you can, even if you think the Phillies are gonna win it, long run you make a ton of money here.. Just gl beating variance.
