I think he will be very tough to beat,

I fully expect the Belmont folks to set the track for him and against EM,

although low priced horses are a terrible bet in the long run, my advice would be to stake out some match-ups.

Which sounds good in theory, until one realizes that both horses must run over the same track.

2-5?? No chance Old one! If he went off at 2-5 it would be impossible for Empire Maker to be 8-5. The %'s would'nt add up right now your over a 100% without taking Dynever and ten most Wanted into account.

If Funny Cide does WIN the Triple Crown...It will be the first time in HISTORY that a GELDING has ever won!

That's pretty amazing if you think about it. If it does happen history will be made this year.

The only downside is they can't BRED Funny Cide! So if Funny Cide does win...it may start a New Era in Cloning Thoughbreds or ???

With all the advances in modern medicine you'd think they could sew the damn thing back on.

Banned4life,

if you don't understand track biases and how they affect horseracing, just ask.

FC is a pacepresser front pack type, EM is a circle the field type of closer, this is a NY bred seeking to win the TC in NY, have no doubt which way the track will be set-up.

it is not that big a deal to set the track up to favor early speed and unfavor closers.

Sorry I wasn't clearer, feel free to simply ask next time.

I understand track biases just fine. What I don't buy is this conspiratorial horseshit that claims that a track super would "fix" a racing surface EVEN IF IT WERE POSSIBLE FOR HIM TO DO SO, especially with the awful weather lately wreaking havoc on the surface. Belmont tends to favor outside running lanes and even the track super has said that there's very little he can do to rectify that.

Did Churchill and Pimlico "fix" the track so FC would win? Hey maybe they "fixed" the track in '73 to make Secretariat win.

Like I said your % don't add up. Your odds should add up to about 120%. If what your saying were correct the tote board would look something like this

Funny Cide 2-5 65%
EM 2-1 33%
Dynever 10-1 9%
Ten Most 12-1 8%
Scrim 25-1 3.5%
Super 50-1 1%

I doubt you will see more then 7-1 on Dynever. it's impossible for the bettors to ignore this horse, although his level of competition was'nt great the horse has still looked impressive.

Unlike EM and Funny, Ten Most Wanted's workout schedule has not missed a beat, and his works have also been quite. I cant see this horse going off anymore then 12's

BTW
If your that high on Funny Cide you might want to get down on An Olympic matchup

Funny Cide -160
Dynever or Ten Most +120

A little better then laying 2-5

SOrry you don't understand the various nuances of racing. Only the rankest of novices would ever suggest the track super can't adjust the track to favor whatever he would like.

Really pointless to continue if you doubt that it cannot and most assuredly will not be done.

And about the Preakness, more times than not a local allowance horse hits the board in either the show or fourth spot, it's not coincidence.

There you go again, with the backhanded insults for anyone who doesn't agree with you (even when you're wrong). The track super does have a minor influence over the running styles that are favored over his track, but if you're suggesting that a track super can fix a track so that a particular runner will win (and after raining almost continuously for a month) then all you're telling me is that you really don't know jack shit despite your blather and bluster, and places you in the paranoid circles inhabited by degenerates who cry about crooked referees. You should know that year after year the Belmont main track favors outside lanes (and usually speed) and even with trainers complaining about these conditions there is very little the super can do to change that. The one time that the outside isn't favored over a dry track is when the wind is blowing in from a particular direction (but since you're Mr. Fukkin Know-It_all you probably already knew that).

In fact, looking at the post positions there is NO NEED for the track super to do ANYTHING! Empire Maker drew the rail and thus all the super has to do to "make him lose" (ROFL) is to do NOTHING! Funny Cide will probably win anyway but it won't be because the track super "fixed the track" for him. Claiming so merely downgrades his achievement and creates an excuse for your boy Frankel.

Back handed insults?

You're an idiot and know next to nothing about racing.

Enough forehand for you?

Keep posting it just displays how truly ignorant you are.

Yea track biases don't exist,

yea the belmont folks wouldn;t do whatever they could to get the horse home,

yea you're a rank amateur that really shouldn't ever post a racing opinion.

Simple enough jerkoff?

Moron, really is that the only time the rail is good at Belmont?

Really??????????????????????

Go look at the BC results from all the Breeder's CUps ever held at Belmont, funny thing speed on the rail was best by light years, in fact one year the track was so hard several animals broke down,

but you're right, the track super only has a minor effect. LMAO too funny debating racing with a dimwitted amatuer, it's just too funny,

btw isn;t your BC Classic horse still running? That was a great call, 10 guys all told you the animal was lame, do you care of course not, plunk down that whopping $2 bet and throw away the money. Good call, any more picks you'd care to share? Maybe wish cancer on folks again and lets see how fast your ass gets booted off the board again.

I never said track biases don't exist. Maybe if you weren't jerking off during English class you would see that. What I said is that it is not as easy as you claim for the track super to FIX THE TRACK TO FAVOR A PARTICULAR HORSE. Especially when the track HAS BEEN RAINED ON FOR A MONTH STRAIGHT and quite possibly will be rained on at race time. You may know a little bit about track biases but you don't know shit about what the track super does and how he is often at the mercy of the weather and other outside factors. But you're always acting like an expert when you really don't know shit so it's not like I ain't used to it by now.

Now run along back to Major Wager where you belong, son. They need you over there to spread false rumors, attack other posters, bleat and cry and throw a temper tantrum whenever you don't get your way, get everyone fighting each other and then stir the pot, and spout off about shit you don't know shit about but want everyone else to think you do.

Hey Pain aka System of the Down,

Are you a track superintendent? Have you actually ever talked to a track superintendent? Are you familiar with the current software in place that is utilized by track superintendents?

Well maybe take a trip out one day and get a clue. Till then whatever you do, don;t let your ignorant bliss from stopping your diarrhea from hitting the board.
