Apparent CANBET is now on the bad boy list for US Credit Card Issuers and I need to fund my account before Saturday. Wire transfer won't be possible because UK Banks are closed Thursday and Friday. Neither will NetTeller satisfy my deadline since I only signed up today. Running out of ideas here and would appreciate some guidance

One idea:
Do Ladbrokes allow US customers to wager on sports?? If so, is it the same rules and payout as offshore bookies? Can I fund via mastercard??

can i do a western union CC transfer online? How much do they typically charge??

The Canbet customer service rep believes that WU will not transact with known sportsbooks. He did not seem 100% certain though

You are probably better off getting cash, and going to a WU. and just making a transfer. imo.

Canbet may be a bad alternative for WU. Most books just send out a courier with an unrecognizable name to WU as a sportsbook agent, but since Canbet being publicly traded and in the UK does things very deliberately they probably force you to send it to a business account of theirs.

I just found out that canbet will not accept Western Union from the US. I'd call 1-800-399-8062 and ask Canbet about alternatives or open another book and send it Western Union.

Be careful when sending large amounts as many of us have had problems in the past...not only that but it is much more apt to be looked at.

Western Union charges $68 to wire up to $1000. So may be another $10-20 more for $2000
