Hache, I don't know why they don't have a Field choice, but I imagine Erickson will end up here soon if no one gets canned first. Up until the Raiders last loss, Callahan wasn't on the list.

Bill Cowher, Dan Reeves, Dave Wannsdadt, Mike Martz, Mike Sherman, and Jim Fassel, None will get fired this year. Best bet is Gregg Williams at 12 to 1.

Here is the latest update of odds. Dan Reeves is getting a lot of attention today in the news but his number holds steady at 6-1; but look at Spurrier - crashes to the 11-5 money favorite.

Bill Callahan (Raiders) 4-1
Bill Cowher (Steelers) 8-1
Butch Davis (Browns) 12-1
Dan Reeves (Falcons) 6-1
Dave McGinnis (Cardinals) 8-1
Dave Wannstedt (Dolphins) 30-1
Dick Jauron (Bears) 4-1
Greg Williams (Bills) 10-1
Jim Fassel (Giants) 25-1
Jim Haslett (Saints) 5-1
Mike Martz (Rams) 100-1
Mike Sherman (Packers) 30-1
Steve Spurrier (Redskins) 11-5

I picked up Reeves and Jim Fassel of this list. Lately I thought I was going to lose as almost every coach began to look like they'll be fired, but the Reeves choice was due to the fact that the owner is a marketing guy. Once Reeves and Vick started disagreeing with each other about his return and the Atlanta fans sided with Vick, and assumed Reeves might be more interested in his job than their franchise player, it seemed easy at the time the owner would go with popular opinion; even though I agreed with Reeves.

Stupid bet in retrospect, but somehow a winner.

One thing about Reeves you need to remember is that he was given the option to finish the season. He declined and they made Wade Phillips interim coach. Lots of talk about LSU head coach Nick Saban comming to Atlanta next year.

Funny thing here is cowher 5-1 is still around and the rest are history. The number of coaches fired since Cowher was hired some 14 years ago is well into the 100's.

A few weeks ago, a poster wrote Cowher is football's version of Bobby Cox. Now we'll see if he can get his Super Bowl ring. At least Cox has one World Series ring.
