Neutral field, versus full season stats (which helps fading teams like TA&M stay a bit more respectable). FSU would be the 8th best (of 13) team in the SEC. This is why sharps play against their inflated lines every week (for better or miraculous 2nd halves worse).

Cool stats, thanks!

Really hoping the Gators knock them off at the end of the season.

On a neutral field, Florida by a full point. In the swamp, FSU will win by 14+ points. The SEC is just as overrated as FSU is.

FSU won 11 games ATS last year. For the last 10 years I've been following these teams who have double digit wins against the spread to see how they do the next season. Most of them have trouble getting to .500 ATS. And seldom have I ever seen a team come back and win more than 7 games ATS the next season. Two reasons are (1) inflated lines and (2) the bettors who made a killing on them last year always come back to the well the next season and over bet them regardless of the spread. Trouble is, most of the time the well runs dry the next season. Last year five teams won 10 or more games ATS. Florida St, Bowling Green, Auburn, Houston & Mizzou. So far so those teams are a combined 19-22 ATS. Ouch! These were all red flag teams for me to bet on the season. And I've only made one bet on this entire group. And that was Auburn last week against Ole Miss. And that was only because Auburn was made the rare dog in that situation. I look at it this way. To me playing football games isn't any different than playing a table game in Vegas. If you were going to sit at a table where you knew you only had about a 40% chance of winning, would you still play it? I feel that way about these teams. I really have to pick my spots very carefully and after these teams fall out of favor before I bet on them. FSU kind of fell out of favor with the public last week with the line being bet down to a season low 3 points. That was the time to play FSU, when the public no longer liked them. And they won.

And that would be why I've been pounding these guys:
1 Georgia Southern 8-1-0 88.9 7-2 5-4-0 44.4 20.9 23.6
2 Western Michigan 8-1-0 88.9 6-3 5-4-0 34.6 25.3 9.2
3 Texas Christian 7-1-0 87.5 7-1 5-3-0 48.0 22.6 25.4
4 Utah 7-1-0 87.5 6-2 2-5-1 33.4 21.2 12.1
5 Louisiana State 7-2-0 77.8 7-2 4-5-0 32.8 15.9 16.9
6 Louisiana Tech 7-2-0 77.8 6-3 6-2-1 35.8 24.1 11.7
7 Arkansas 7-2-0 77.8 4-5 6-3-0 35.9 24.7 11.2
8 Massachusetts 7-2-0 77.8 2-7 6-2-1 30.8 35.0 -4.2
9 Marshall 6-2-0 75.0 8-0 5-3-0 45.9 16.5 29.4
10 Kansas State 6-2-0 75.0 7-1 5-3-0 38.2 18.6 19.6

Well shit, that came out clearly, LOL. Top 10 ATS, first column is the ATS record, second the percentage ATS (wtf?), next set W/L, next set O/U, next number points for, then points against and I think the last number should be obvious, I refuse to explain it to "Pimp." LOL

By the way, Bowling Green was one of those double digit ATS winners last year. And they have a terrible ATS record this season because they have been a tossup or favorite in all of their MAC games. But now that they are the dog tonight and have fallen out of favor with the public, I think their chances of covering start going way up. Just my opinion of course...

Like it or not, FSU has the 3rd highest Power Rating in the NCAA. Alabama and Oregon deadlock at #1, with FSU behind them. FSU would be favored on neutral ground vs. all other teams. Winning may be a different matter, but by odds alone FSU is 3rd.
