That's the worst Miami team I've seen in a long time.
I was hoping FSU would get one last FG attempt so that kid could miss again. Would have loved to have seen his face.
Have the kickers for FSU the last several years been top recruits? I take it that they were considerd among the top 10 high school kickers in the country when recruited. Have they had good college careers and just sucked against Miami in crunch time? Or have they been mediocre kickers in general?
If I'm a player for FSU, I take some satisfaction from the fact they would have won except for the kicker. In high school, I never really considered the football team a real team. It consisted of 3 teams... offense, defense and special teams. Then there was a division aong starters and non-starters.
Totally different feeling with hockey. You have your forwards, D, special teams, and goalie... but it feels much more like a real team sport.
