Wil, calm down. Up until last year the Angels did very well against the Yankees, if I remember right the best record in the AL against them over a 3 or 4 year period. They made a big deal of that in the year the Angels won it all, but promptly that all ended last year when the Yanks swept the last series between the two as the Angels faded.

if ankles make the WC - odds are they will play the yankees and as we saw in 2002 - the angels aren't afraid of the yankees at all.
if i am the yankees - i would rather see the red sox get the WC because this way i would open against the twins - who i own period - then play the winner of the redsox vs. a's/angels series (it will be the a's - and with it being the a's - no matter who wins an a's/sox series - BOTH teams are scared to death of the yankees in the post-season and both know they won't beat the evil empire anyway).
i also think maybe we need to realize the yankees really aren't as good as they - and others think they are. they play a soft sked and win because they have better players than the cupcake teams they play.
it's not until the post-season when they run up against teams with a closer talent make-up to theirs that they then have to play the games to win them - and find they can't.
