Brock, good bet as you basically are getting Illinois ML -200 against Penn State. I figure IL will be around a 9 point fave in that game.

Right now Junardi has Illinois dancing. JL is a beast at picking the field. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think he has only got 1 team wrong in the last few years...

He is the only guy I check.

I am looking forward to my $50 as well!
you will likely get it, my own picks have been wishy washy of late, havn't lost any ground money wise, but haven;t gained any either. Just not my fortee these types of things. As you know I rarely post plays, and certanily not on a daily basis, when something jumps out at me, then i post it..

indiana is nothing special, got smoked at Purdue, At Illinois, AT MSU, At just about any team they played on the road..

Indiana led at all those 3 teams on the road in the second half. Indiana led at Duke in the second half, led at Kentucky in the 2nd half, not sure they really got smoked, Indiana had one double digit defeat all year. Illinois got beat by double digits 5x including an embarassing home loss by 18 to Ohio St. Illinois resume isnt anywhere near Indianas. Didn't Illinois lose a couple players also for the season for a DUI? I was thinking one was a starter but maybe not, that doesnt help Illinois resume at all

Jamar Smith is gone for the season. Carlwell, who got hurt, may be back, but didn't play a lot anyway. They've played alright without Jamar and actually Smith had a pretty poor season prior to the accident. I don't think it should effect whether they get a berth.

So if Illinois beats Penn St, they will have 22 wins. People don't think they are a lock?

Big Ten Basketball Reminds Me Of Football, The Conf Is Weak. The Only Good Team Ohio St Beat All Year Is Wisc At Home By One. Other Than That That Beat Up A Weak Conf And Non Conf Schedule.

face it they both suck and the conference is way down...talk about ugly basketball , look no further than this conference where it's common not to score from the field for 5 minutes (sometimes both teams) lol.

Here is a better question - "Is Illinois one of the best 40 teams in the nation outside of the automatic bids?" I say yes. They don't have a realistic chance to advance past the first weekend, but you can look over the field and easily name 40 teams that will not make it to the round of 16.

You can name 40 but you'll probably be wrong. There are always surprises. Outside of the 15 and 16 seeds (and even then, one of these days...) you really can't discount any team making the Sweet 16.

Is it that easy? Naming 40 teams in the top 64 who won't make the final 16?

I challenge you:lol: if you do it I'll throw in a pizza

Illini are def. one of the teams that are weary of teams stealing at-large bids, like what Wright St might do tonight
