Christian vigilante
ambush kills 5 Muslims in Southern Philippines

Monday, November 03, 2008

MAGUINDANAO, Philippines (Mindanao Examiner / Nov. 2, 2008) – Suspected Christian vigilantes ambushed a group of Muslim picnickers on Sunday killing five of them, including children, in the southern Philippines, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front said.

Mohagher Iqbal, a senior MILF leader, said the attack occurred at around 5 p.m. in the coastal town of Linamon in Lanao del Norte province. He said the victims came from a picnic at a beach in Linamon and were heading home to Magsaysay town gunmen attacked them.

“The victims were their home onboard a vehicle when they were ambushed,” he told the Mindanao Examiner, quoting unnamed sources. “Five were killed, including children. The perpetrators are Ilagas.”

Iqbal did not say how many children were killed, but he claimed the MILF, the country’s largest Muslim rebel group, is investigating the attack. “We are still getting more details of the ambush,” he said while condemning the attack on innocent Muslims.

There was no immediate statement either from the police or the military about the ambush. The vigilantes gained notoriety in the 1970s at the height of the Muslim secessionist war in the southern Philippines where they chopped off body parts of captured rebels.

But second-generation Ilaga, mostly sons and relatives of the original members, have surfaced in August and vowed to exact revenge after rebels launched deadly attacks on civilian targets after the failed signing of the Muslim homeland deal between Manila and the MILF. (Mindanao Examiner)

and God even works with folks who think Africa is Not a Continent:

Palin: Iraq is a task ‘from God.’»

Huffington Post reports that on June 8, Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) addressed the graduating class of commission students at the Wasilla Assembly of God church. During that address, Palin portrayed the Iraq was as a quest decreed by God, and said that U.S. soldiers were carrying out “God’s plan”:
Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God. That’s what we have to make sure that we’re praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God’s plan.
During that speech, Palin also promoted a $30-billion natural gas pipeline project, stating, “God’s will has to be done in unifying people and companies to get that gas line built.”

I'm a Christian but I swear that line from Palin that the US Iraqi occupation is "God's Will" was just flat out embarrassing.

Just fuckin stupid.

Fletch,

Now I truly think you are a total idiot.

To equate the number of atrocities being committed around the
world by Islamist terrorists, to "Christian" killing is outrageous and
irrational at best.

FUCK THAT! Ain't no fuckin difference especially when some can argue that our mere pressence AND KILLINGS in the middle east is an attempt to force everything American down their thoats. Even Christianity.

Actually he made a great point, and pointed out that your statement
is asinine - I guess you are too brain-washed to see it.

Their is bad in any religion. I think logic is on my side here. Christians are just more civilized and evolved then Muslims are, hence the people live like they do and woman treated they way they are. With that said, it doesnt mean Christianity is perfect or somehow above Muslims or any other religion. Your calling me an idiot for showing you three cases about the same span as your thread has showing Muslims killing Christians...and somehow that equates me to being an idiot? I mean im not one that gets all worked up about this stuff. Religion is the opiate of the masses.. Lenin had it right.

PS:

Brainwashed by whom?

Isolated. ..wow. The mere fact you believe our (The US) dirt is "isolated" says enough. Bet you think we didn't have 9/11 coming either.

"There"

Fletch,

Do yourself a favor, and do a little research, and compare the amount
of Christians around the world getting slaughtered my Muslims - compared
to the other way around.

Unless you are willing to do the easy research, stop posting on the
subject, you are looking like a total fool.

Religion is a tool. If you need it to prop you up like a crutch, then your a tool and pointing out the differences between one religion and another is asinine. Especially when over 90% of that religion (Muslim) are peaceful people. Just like 99% of Christians are peaceful people. Wasnt it Eisenhower who talked about staying out of the gutters of things...the middle is ok for the most aprt. Stay in the middle Zit. You would be much happier.

Zit, if you do have any numbers for this, I'd like to see them. Until you provide them I keep believing that the number of Christians slaughtered by Muslims is negligible compared to the number of Christians killed by Christians or Muslims killed by Muslims.

Btw I'm surprised that apparently no-one has realised yet that the second and third example in Fletch's original post are actually the same case, the murder of Ahmed Saleh. Shows again how thoroughly people read cut-and-pasted articles. ;-)
