I know this has to be a popular play today and it seems a little fishy but:
CWS -115
The White Sox did everything in thier power to give the game away last night and finally succeeded.Buehrle did not look sharp,a couple of tough breaks, one bad error and a blast from Manny combined to sink them.Thats 3 home losses in a row.Four consecutive home losses havent happened this year,in fact the CWS are 4-0 after losing 3 straight overall this year. The Red Sox have heated up on the road for sure. They continue to hit well most of the time but I did notice that over the last 10 theyve only hit RHP at only .230.To beat Buerhle and Garland back to back is a task however.Wake has been alright, some say the most consistant, I disagree. On the road hes 4-5 w/ an era of 4.14 with a decent whip but lately hes been a little off.L3 he is 1-2 with an era of 4.88 and has given up 6 HRs in those starts.Did I mention Tim Wakefield has never beaten the CWS and the Red Sox are 2-8 vs the White Sox in his starts. The ball seemed to be leaping out of the park last night...any mistakes by Wakefield will be costly IMO.His opponent...Jon Garland 14-4 overall. At home he been solid going 7-2 w/ 2.94 era and a .980 whip.In his L3 hes 2-1 w/ a 3.00 era and has let up NO HRs.There is really no comparison in the BPs of these teams. One is clearly more stable than the other. The White Sox are a great home team (31-18) and have done great vs RH starters (45-22).I just dont see the CWS dropping this one tonight.
BOL.
