first thing that jumps out at me is the inflated line on the sixers/knicks game. it opened at -9, re-adjusted a little. also the over seems high. just as i thought in the first game that went over, the home team will control tempo. the being 76ers, the game should play a little slower and fall under the high total.

Love the under in knicks/sixers. I could easily see it not even reach 200.

Like Boston to crush Chicago. Chicago does not matchup well with them at all.

Also so Portland at home. They are great at home. People overreact to the loss on the road to the best team in the league. Spurs are not a good team without Manu and would not be surprised to see a rout here.

I agree the Phil/NY is the game that jumped off the screen at me. I was expecting the total to come out high, but 217.5 on the road is about 8 points more than what I was thinking. Philadelphia likes to play pressure defense, and fast break themselves so I won't touch the total, just keep an eye on it for further wagering. I do see Philadelphia blowing them out. The Knicks opened up with a win at home, but they are still the Knicks. Their going to have a hard time breaking 30 wins. I do not see them faring too well on the road this season. My guess Philly 113 NY 98

The only play I made last night was the Bos/Chic Under 191. Both team plays good defense and Chicago struggles mightily to score on the road. Think this line is about 10 points too high.

I may also play against the Carmello less Nuggets. Without Carmello no way this team should be laying points on the road. They don't play consistent enough defense, and take terrible shots. I think the Clippers will be better than expected this season, and their blow out home loss against the Lakers are giving us a little bit of value. Again its the Lakers, not the Nuggets. Kaman should have his way down low, and Denver doesn't play enough defense to slow down great scorers as BD, and Thorton.

as i said in the other thread on the nugs game, i dont think lac has their shit together yet. they made a lot of moves in the offseason. while the nugs may be without carmello, they played well enough to be in the game the other night in a much tougher opponent and a tough place to win on the road vs utah. i like the nugs here.

I think it's a difficult card to cap, as always in the nba. That knicks spread is pretty high for a sixers team that didn't play much defense the other night. Will Marbury and Curry not play again? Dantoni's not making too many friends in NY with those decisions, and then cursing off the crowd for their steph chant. My gut feeling is the mustached man won't last too long in NY after this season. His reliance on a 6 or 7 man rotation throughout an 82 game season is ludicrous.

Bulls@Celtics is a toss-up. How will the Bulls fare on the road this year?

Miami's getting too much respect here, and wouldn't be surprised if they lose straight up.

Raptors are not trustworthy enough to cover against a gritty warriors team. GS showed a lot of heart in their first loss and I'm not sold on the Raptors production outside of Bosh, Calderon, and O'Neil.

I think Orlando can cover the 6 against a really bad Grizzlies team. Looks like the Magic were too nervous to do well in their home-opener and nothing was being done on offense. Dwight should have a field day with Darko being the only obstacle to the basket.

Nuggets without Melo is a no-bet for me. Clippers held a closed-door meeting ranting at each other about what their identity needs to be. They might come out and play focused.

Spurs without Ginobi and Oberto really limits their abilities. They are suffering in the front court, and most of their guard play is parker. Blazers are back to last season minus Oden, but I do think they have a deeper rotation at the spurs at this point. 64 points were scored by Parker and Duncan, and I'm sure the Blazers addressed help defense on them. Looks like Blazers +2 is a good play considering how Portland played at home last year, and the lack of production from the other Spurs role players.

With respect to the G State/Raptors game, There is just too much size down low that G State has to contend with and if Bosh and O'Neal can play just a decent style of down low ball, this will open up the outside for many of Toronto's talented outside shooters. Mainly Kapono, Calderon, and Parker. Barring any consecutive Stephen Jackson 3 point hoists that go in towards the last couple minutes, I feel the Raps pull this one out by 9 or more.
