I would say the war is justified immediatly if:
1) They found a good sum of WMD's.
2)Found a definate connection between alqueda and irag.
Later
If iragys are living a better free life.
And the oil and its production are helping the people.

There is no justification.

Bush clearly WANTS this war. He said that "time for inspections" had "run out", but hyprocyritically he "cannot put a timeframe on this war" because it just needs to "run it's course". Ummm ... riiiight.

He manufactured a war, he'll manufacture a reason (one of these days - hell, maybe the dummy will even get away with forgery next time)

Already justified.

The use of chemical weapons during the Iran/Iraq war, and the use of chemical weapons against Iraq civilians is justification enough, imo.

I just think we waited way too long, and let millions die and suffer in the meantime.

you are a smart man.

you should know by now that a whole lot of countries in the world have biological/chemical weapons, and even more chemical suits.

usa gave iraqis wmd in order to use them against iranians. at that time, it was important to help anyone fighting against the usa ennemy, which was iran.

saddam used it against kurds as well, but he is not alone. turkish genocide over the kurds is something that is happening in last few centuries on every day basis and no one really cares.

why ? because Turkey is a NATO member.

Don Marco, understood. However, the question was in regards to the present war in Iraq, and in my opinion, the cases i pinpointed, are justification enough.

I know we had a hand in Iran, and thought Saddam was going to be our boy, but, that doesn't change my opinion of this war.

And thats all it is, my opinion.

The war side says that we are justified to attack Iraq if they have WMD's because we fear they might be used against us.

By The same warped thinking Al Queda was justified on 9/11 because WE HAVE MORE WMD's THAN THE REST OF THE WORLD COMBINED and they vwere afraid we were going to take over the middle east.

It is the same line of thinking. And please dont use the UN argument, your side showed the world what you think of the UN when you went ahead with this war, so dont just use it when it helps you.
