Your reasoning for falling for Was as a trap makes no sense??? From what you wrote taking Stanford would be considered a trap not Was. Playing on Was you are fading the public who you said is backing Stan. Getting 4 points with a solid Stanford team seems too good and hence why playing them would "seem" like a trap. Playing Was is not a trap play at all so don't call it that. Good luck on your play.
