Hit the top play last night on ND State easily. Crappy card again tonight but I picked out a few overnight i feel there is an "Edge" vs the line given. I preach this ALL the time, DONT play against the public and line moves solely (perfect example was Ball State 2 days ago, where I had people freaking out over the line moves and public and i told them CALM DOWN, Ball will win this, they were playing a terrible 0-8 team for a reason, 0-8 teams find ways to lose, and we all know who covered and won the game). People who ONLY look at public%, DONT know basketball nor the games and i can tell none of these guys played at a high level. I see this common error esp among touts ("pro's") and others who "think" they are good. You have to still look at the game and the matchup and cap the game individually. Public numbers and line moves are but the last thing I look at, been doing this 25 years and having played college sports, I understand how these games are played. Also, you must look at the H2H and unique situations, travel, time off, etc for these games. Fading the public only is a losing strategy, IMHO. Enough of that rant and back to the games.

One thing also about GOY's (Game of year). I have NEVER had one GOY in any sport. I doubt I ever will. I've noticed those that have GOY's dont just have ONE, they have MANY during the year. HOW is that even possible? A GAME OF YEAR is ONE! (meaning its your ONE GAME OF THAT YEAR that you went all in on). You can't have multiple and be credible! Come on now. I still have yet to have even ONE (EVER) and dont see myself blowing a load on ONE GAME. I've had many BIG and top plays but GOY's are STUPID/ASININE ESPECIALLY if you're doing MANY GOY'S in same month/week/year AND the same sport! as they say on ESPN, "COME ON MAN."

I just shake my head as I dont understand any of that. It's mostly little nerds who didnt get any attention growing up and it shows. "LOOK AT ME" is what it's screaming and they do it repetitvely, but really sad are those that blindly follow those doing it. I can kinda understand 1 GOY a year ina sport (although I still refuse to do it), but to do multiple in a week, let alone a year in the same sport is beyond ridiculous. Do they need people giving them attention that badly? Then people blindly follow and lose their ass, and guess what? Next day, another GOY! To each their own I guess but you wont ever see me doing this crap.

Everyone has their own way of posting for attention. I don’t think anyone takes a goy for what people post it to be. You use top plays. They use goy. Some use 20 star. Others may have huge plays and regular plays. Bookrpeort has monsters. All the same thing.

I get that, but in my case, top plays are those I play much greater and have greater confidence in those plays than the rest. Not for attention, it was asked for by a bunch of people on here so people knew what bets i felt more confident in as ive been here posting daily for a while now and others have noticed my top plays do hit at a greater % than the rest. Thats all "top plays" mean. I dont dileneate any further than that with huge, goy, gom, etc etc. I believe a lot of it to be irresponsible but maybe i'm old fashioned and trying to be prudent for those out there tailing. big cat whose one of the best posters here had a goy sometimes 2 weekly. It was just his way of alerting people he liked those plays more than others. Much in the same way your top plays alert them. It’s all how people try to differentiate the way they post. And it’s all the same. Just their on way of wording their picks but it’s all the same. If you called top plays huge plays or 20 star plays or 100 star plays or monsters, instead of top, wouldn’t change anything. It’s all the same.

I get that but GOY means GAME OF YEAR. To me, that should only be ONE that whole year for that given sport (in my view, you lose cred. doing it over and over). Maybe i'm old fashioned and taking it too literal but its just something that gets old after seeing GOY thrown around so much and so often. Game of week is more understandable or Game of Day at least esp if used multiple times in a short period. OH well, I digress, back to capping and off my old man soap box

I see Harvard line dropped a bit, so liking it a bit more.

I agree. Took me a second to get over the GOY deal too. But that term gets thrown around so loosely now I can’t see anyone taking it serious.

I think this is so true more in CBB than in any sport.
I always look at your top plays but isolate on those as a guide into my own view of the deep dive.
One thing i add into that view is HISTORY between the two teams plus how well a team does at home or how bad a team is on the road.
Last night in the E ILL game, i think IUPUI was 1-19 sup on the road which now becomes a hard look at the home team to cover.
or IA State laying the big number to IA, IA St recent history, they own IA in their gym
CBB history and 2nd game meetings later in the season become huge info to add in

Great points and i always look into H2H recency esp if it was in past week or so and those where there was a blowout with a decent team like you referred to with ISU vs Iowa. In most cases ISU should never be that great of faves esp against Iowa but they lost by 20 last game last year and those kids still there as well as coaches remembered. i saw a blowout coming and it sure paid off. Revenge, even from a year or so ago is a BIG thing especially when they can exact that revenge at home in a rivalry game. Saw a lot jump on Iowa due to the given pts but i shook my head. Always big into digging into the H2H situations as this is more important than public % as you rightfully called out.

yeah just 2 fit the criteria so far. UIC was close but I dont have as much an edge now with the line moves, as i have them 3-4 pts better than the other team. I see they are now -1.5-2.

I see Quinnipiac beating Navy much like they beat Army earlier, but this time they're at home. 5 is too soft, i think they win this going away. Navy is an awful shooting team, having shot 31% last game and not much better through the year. Quinn struggled in its game against Niagara but they should have a better performance tonight in their friendly confine of M&T Bank Arena.

funny i hate fridays too, but odd u comment on one losing day out of how many? of course we can count on you stopping in when u think i lost. as i said earlier, i hate these crappy cards last 2 nights, did ok last night and killed it all week, 1 slightly down night and u come comment? too funny and yet predictable. but u say you're not trolling, yet u only come comment on a down night. also 6-2 NBA tonight so far, cashed top play cavs and kings looking good. I more than made up any losses in NCAA tonight with NBA but funny you don't comment there, just in the one sport u think i lost, so predictable though.
