Awful day yesterday, worst of the season. Feeling good about a rebound.
Tampa ML -117
Tampa F5 -1/2 (+125) Eduardo Rodriquez has frustrated the Red Sox coaches. He has all this potential, but doesn't follow through on the game plans they set out for him. His stuff even looks less than previously. I also like how Tampa has rebounded from losses this year. They nearly had a great comeback last night. Their relief "starts" have been effective going back to last year. Stanek, followed by Chirnios, followed by a good back end BP. (Please, not Chaz Roe). This play also depends on the Red Sox staying in their hitting, fielding funk a little longer.
St. Louis F5- over 2.5 (-110) This play says Jason Vargas is nearly washed up and will soon be pulled from the Mets rotation. If I'm wrong, so be it. He never relied on velocity, but it's even worse than 2 years ago, and hitters are laying off the change since it usually dips out of the strike zone. Cardinals have won 7 out of last 10, and stay hot vs. Vargas.
St. Louis ML -154
St. Louis RL +130 Cards have better BP, and could cover this if Vargas exits early.
Medium Play:
Houston RL (-140) The Astros are the best team in the AL right now, and this game has a huge advantage in pitching, from Verlander vs. Smyly to their bullpens. The Astros completely shut down the hot hitting Mariners, and I think they'll do that here. Verlander has pitched pretty well in Texas.
