Just was hoping you guys would keep me in your prayers on Friday. I have been studying prereqs for 2 1/2 years and am applying for Radiology school at a well known Hospital University in Philly. I have a 4 hour interview tomorrow, most of which I assume will be spending time in various radiological areas throughout the hospital.... ie, X ray, ultrasound, MRI, CT Scan, etc.....
The best part is, almost three years ago I was homeless. Living on the streets mostly, occasionally staying with a friend if I could find one that I hadnt burned in the past. I, one day at a time, have overcome alcoholism and drug addiction. Thats kind of another story, but I feel its important to the prayer request I ask of you all.
My dream since I was a little kid was to help people in a hospital setting. Since I was breaking bones and tearing muscles regularly because of my ice hockey and wrestling background in grade school and HS, I had alot of encounters with X ray and MRI techs. I felt they made a difference to a scared little kid and have always wanted to repay the favor as well as make a living doing that job. My only problem was I didnt intend to become addicted to drugs and alcoholism. Thank God I never got a felony, so I am still able to work in a setting such as the medical profession.... I am nervous as hell, and cant believe this is actually happening... I have accumulated a 3.2 GPA these past 5 semesters and believe that affords me a great opportunity to be accepted.....
Thanks guys,
Maxxxxx
