Woodbine Harness: Friday 5/9 Analysis
By Greg Gangle
DRF HARNESS

Race 4 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet: SEAWIND PASCALE (1st)

Spot Play: DING (6th)

Race 1

(6) SEAWIND PASCALE has won three straight in impressive fashion. He shouldn't mind the class jump again. (3) FRIEND OR FOE put in a sub-par effort last start, but was racing at his best prior. He's worth a look again. (8) MIYAGI HANOVER now comes out of Auciello's barn, who has an excellent reputation with first time starters.

Race 2

(2) VOELZ HANOVER has tons of back class and is hard to overlook in her season debut in here. (1) SOCIAL SCENE advances to the older classes now at age four, but she comes from the Coleman barn and qualified strong. (3) D GS PESQUERO draws well and has been knocking on the door in each of her last three starts.

Race 3

(9) DELCREST JULIAN closed well last week to finish fourth in the debut of Auciello. He remains at the same level and once again a primary threat. (4) TYMAL COLOSSUS draws well, comes out of Moreau's barn and finished second in this class last week. (5) DESIGNER GENES moves back into a claimer where she's more competitive at. She draws well, is versatile and has the speed needed.

Race 4

(1) BOAT HOUSE ROW gets the rail and missed last week as the favourite. I'll try her again. (5) LIFETIME JEWEL has the speed, but hasn't been on her game yet this season. She's at the bottom class and due for a big effort. (3) JEREMEYES JEWEL went a speedy mile last start and draws well. She's trip-oriented and stays at the same class.

Race 5

(8) TOUGH MAC raced very well last start to finish second. He once again faces an easier bunch as he stays at the bottom level and gets Waples. (1) TALBOTCREEK JEWELY gets the rail and was timed in1:55 last start. A repeat effort makes her a top threat. (4) O U SEXY GUY gets post relief and likely will offer a price. He's capable but needs a trip.

Race 6

This was extremely tough to predict, but (4) DING seems to have the most momentum going her way in recent lines and gets post relief in here. (5) RAMMY GIRL hasn't been at her best lately and is due for a turnaround effort. She comes from a high percentage trainer and likely will offer a price. (7) WINTER TERROR has hit the board in three of her last five and comes from a high percentage trainer.

Race 7

(3) EAT ME UP moves into the Moreau barn, which will drop her price. She's versatile and has a lot of back class to offer. (2) HOPE FOR PADDY drops in class, draws well and will look to regain her form. (4) COOKING TIME lands a good spot and could be involved in exotics.

Race 8

(2) ALIBI SEELSTER is a perfect two-for-two to start the season and certainly appears ready to handle this class. (8) LIGHTS GO OUT is Alibi Seelster's main threat in this class after winning three straight. (6) WONDEFUL CHARM is a logical choice for the triactor after hitting the board in each of her last two.

Race 9

(9) HOLY MOLIE MAGGIE raced very well to finish second last week considering it was her first start after some time off. She can only improve off that effort. (2) FINAL ENCORE draws inside, comes from a high percentage trainer and has a good record this season. (7) MARGARITA MAN has lots of back class to offer and has hit the board in three of his last five.

Race 10

(2) GREYSTONE LADYLIKE posted a very convincing qualifier that leads to believe she's ready at this bottom class. (1) WARRAWEE LIMELIGHT gets the rail, is fresh off a win and comes out of the Gillis barn. (3) CHERYLS SURPRISE has won three straight, moves into the Auciello barn and is very capable of the class jump.

Race 11

(1) ALL TERROR has finished second in each of her last two starts in this class and is ready for her first win of the season. (7) MY SECRET BELLE has hit the board in eight of nine starts this season and remains at the same level. (8) RAVISHNMASTERPIECE has the speed and closed very well last start. She'll offer a price and is a good option to consider for the triactor.

Yonkers: Friday 5/9 Analysis
By Brewster Smith
DRF HARNESS
MEET STATS: 138 - 528 / $867.40 BEST BETS: 12 - 43 / $46.70

Best Bet: ROYAL CEE CEE N (11th)

Spot Play: LORENZO DREAM (8th)

Race 1

(3) IDEAL DANNY fits well in this event and has every right to get the job done. (4) RILEYS LUCK put in a game effort last out at Freehold. (5) R GAUWITZ HANOVER could land a share.

Race 2

(8) SOME LIKE IT HOT has tactical speed, moves down in class and should get back on the winning grove with a nice trip. (2) ELIN gets a good post to work with. (3) LONG STORY SHORT was second best last out at Pocono.

Race 3

(3) BAD AS BART Gelding was sharp in his previous trip to the post. Can make tonight a winning one. (5) WAYWARD SON put in a mild rally for the place spot recently. (2) SIGN OF THE MOMENT flashed fine speed last time out.

Race 4

(5) MAJOR STONE did show some speed last time around so with that said, 9-year-old can mow these down. (7) M G HOME RUN Speedy gelding will be the one to catch. (1) DRIVE EM COWBOY gets post relief; watch out.

Race 5

(7) NEIGHSAY HANOVER Trotter is clearly knocking at the door. Can break it down if given the right trip. (4) LOOKING HANOVER got the job done last out via the pocket route. (2) WAITING ON A WOMAN fits with these and Sears stays; not out of this.

Race 6

Will try (6) SUMMERTIME LEA to put it all together in tonight's Open; all systems go with Brennan at the helm. (8) MONKEY ON MY WHEEL is very sharp and by far is the one to down. (7) FAST AND FIESTY has wheeled off two straight victories.

Race 7

(3) A MILLIONPENNIES gets post relief, has tactical speed and this gelding can take these pacers to task for all the cash. (6) BETTOR WORLD has good early zip and will be on his toes against this group. (7) IDYLWOOD PHOENIX will be closing in the final strides.

Race 8

(7) LORENZO DREAM was very game in his recent start at this level. Trotting gelding is fit and ready to roll over this group. (8) BACKSTREET HANOVER Pocket-rocket score in her latest. From the 8-hole she could do it again; maybe. (2) ITZAZIAM has scored three in a row. Can be right in the mix.

Race 9

(4) BLADE SEELSTER Two straight victories for this 5-year-old gelding. Despite the rise in class, this guy is ready and able to make it a hat trick. (1) STONEBRIDGE COWBOY gets serious post relief and that can help his cause. (6) GO WEST LUCKY CAM has hit the board in his last five tries; beware.

Race 10

Will excuse (5) MOONTAN's first attempt here when this trotter broke at the start. Very capable of getting the job done at his best. (4) TOBAR was sent down the road last time out for all the glory. (2) ALTERNAT THURSDAYS was second best in his last try.

Race 11

(1) ROYAL CEE CEE N Pacing miss moves to the fence and moves down the scale; ready to roll. (2) MISS ANNIE J should fare better from the 2-hole; main player. (5) MAGIC STARLIGHT could have a say in the outcome.

Lone Star Race 1 for Friday, May 09, 2014
Handicapped by The Turf Club Analysts

Bar

Lone Star - Race #1 - Post: 6:35pm - Claiming - 7.5 furlongs on the Turf. Purse: $10,500 Class Rating: 69

Rating: Golden DollarGolden DollarGolden DollarGolden Dollar

#4 BOSSY BABE (ML=9/2)

BOSSY BABE - Of all the entrants in today's race only this filly has won on this turf course. Rode this horse on Apr 18th and Berry is yet again in the irons this time. Filly finished first her last race here on Apr 18th as a shipper. I think she looks like a winner once again. Not a lot of turf experience with this horse. With her breeding, it shouldn't matter.

Vulnerable Contenders: #1 SAVANNAH'S KEEPER (ML=1/1), #6 POZAWAN (ML=5/1), #3 DIAMONDS FOR GI GI (ML=5/1),

SAVANNAH'S KEEPER - 1/1 is not priced right for any entrant in a sprint of 7 1/2 furlongs that hasn't hit the board in a sprint event recently. POZAWAN - 5/1 odds isn't enough for this entrant when checking the most recent efforts. Can't wager on this entrant in today's sprint of 7 1/2 furlongs. Hasn't even finished in the money in a sprint race recently. DIAMONDS FOR GI GI - Usually I need a sprinter to have some success lately in short distance races in order to wager on her. Hard to bet on any entrant to turn things around if there is no reward to taking the chance.

Top HatGUEST COMMENTARY: The Brain - BOSSY BABE - A tried and true angle. Take a sprinter in the third and fourth start after a freshening. That's the time when they peak.
