Key Stat: Augsburg have lost one of their last 12 Bundesliga matches

Expert Verdict: Augsburg have been the success story of this season’s Bundesliga and are only six points off the Champions League places having been among the favourites for relegation in the ante-post markets. However, the Bavarians have not beaten a fellow top-six team this term and that could continue against Schalke.

Recommendation: Schalke

Key Stat: Leigh Griffiths has notched four goals in as many league games

Expert Verdict: Celtic responded to their first league defeat of the season with an emphatic five-goal rout of Inverness and they should have little trouble brushing aside mid-table Kilmarnock. It hasn't taken long for Leigh Griffiths to find his feet at Parkhead and, after a hat-trick last week, he can set the Bhoys on their way to another three points.

Recommendation: L Griffiths first goalscorer

UNC hosted Pitt earlier this year at home and won 75-71 in an evenly played match up. In fact these two are even as it gets statistically so it's hard to say who has the advantage, but I do like the Tarheels, because they are the hotter team. They come into this game winning 12 of their last 13 games while Pitt started 18-2 and finished 6-6. McAdoo had 24 and 12 while Marcus Paige added 18 points in the first match up while they held Pitt to 40.6%. UNC is just too hot right now and I see them getting another win.

San Jose Sharks vs. NY Islanders
San Jose Sharks

at 5DIMES
> 10h.
Tonight the San Jose Sharks Travel to Long Island to take on the NY Islanders. We backed San Jose last night in Columbus and they did not disappoint with a shoot-out win.

San Jose is just a big physical team that can score and also play great defense. The NY Isles are going in the opposite direction and like last week we will fade them in this spot. San Jose average just below 3 goals a game and with a Isles team that is giving up almost 3.4 goals a game, this spells trouble. I thought the line may be lower in this one with San Jose playing last night and the NY Isles coming home from the road but the lines makers sees a San Jose win tonight and so do I. Sharks are 4-1-1 in their last 6 against the Isles and 4-0 in their last 4 road games.

I am taking the San Jose Sharks on the road tonight.

Marc Lyle is crushing the NHL with a 58-28 67% record on the season. Marc is 46-20 in all sports in his last 66 for 70%. Marc is currently on a 30-10 (75%) Run in all sports.

Get in the game tonight.

St. Josephs plays Friday off back-to-back losses (0-2 SU & ATS), but catches the right team to turn things around- Dayton. They're 3-1 SU & ATS during the last 4 meetings against Dayton, including 2-0 SU & ATS in this season's meetings, winning just 2 weeks ago at home by 26 points, 79-53, and by 3 points at Dayton, 60-57, back in January. This 3rd meeting on Friday will be for the Quarterfinals of the Atlantic Ten Conference Tourney. Expect St. Josephs to return to their winning ways against Dayton, as they were upset at home by LaSalle as 9 point home favorites, but they're 6-0 ATS after a home loss against a Conference foe. Go bet Joe.

03/14 9:05 PM EST NBA (817) LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS VS (818) UTAH JAZZ
Take: (817) LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS
Reason: Your free pick for Friday, March 14th, 2014, comes in the NBA as LA Clippers and Jazz meet in Utah. The LA Clippers are a great team with plenty of motivation, third in the Western Conference just behind Oklahoma City and just ahead of Houston. The Clippers are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games overall, 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games. They are a top 10 defensive team as far as field goal shooting defense, as well as tops in the NBA in scoring, a team with great balance, depth and talent. Griffin had 30 points and 15 rebounds, Granger added 18 points off the bench, and the Clippers surged past the Golden State Warriors 111-98 on Wednesday. Chris Paul had 16 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds for the Clippers. They roast weak teams, too: The Clippers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning percentage below .400. Last place Utah has plenty of problems, 28th in the NBA in scoring, 15th in points allowed. They come off a 108-101 home loss to Dallas and they are no bounce back team: The Jazz is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a loss. Play the LA Clippers.

Toronto Raptors PK

There are some huge numbers on the NBA board on Friday so this one kind of stands out for not being one.

The Raptors are legit and at home against an offensively challenged Memphis squad they are going to win.

It will probably be a defensive battle but the Raptors are now starting to win the games they are supposed to.

They easily handled the Grizzlies on the road the beginning of the year and are on a sweet 10-2 ATS run against winning teams. Good Luck, Razor Ray.

Missouri (N) vs. Florida (N)
Florida (N)
-11½-106
at 5DIMES
> 4h.
Missouri vs. Florida------Missouri comes into this game off a tough double overtime victory yesterday and will be up against a stingy Gator defense that is only giving up 58 ppg on the season. Florida held Missouri to 58 points in their only meeting earlier this season as they held the Tigers to 39% shooting from the floor. Florida won this game only by 10 points, 68-58 though as they were down 28-25 at the half. This was the beginning of a tough stretch of game that Florida failed to cover as a double digit favorite. However, the Gators have gotten back on track covering their last 3 games of the season by an average of margin of victory of 21 points.

I really like the Gators rotation as they have experience with their starting 5. Scottie Wilbekin is the best defensive point guard in the nation and you can count on his defense to turn into instant offense. Also Michael Frazier is on fire from behind the three point line currently and with Dorian Finney-Smith coming off the bench, the Gators have perimeter shooters, a creator in Wilbekin, a slasher with Casey Prather, and a cleanup beast with Patrick Young.

I look for Florida to pressure Missouri and to wear them out down low. Missouri reserve Tony Criswell will miss this game and that leaves the Missouri frontcourt very thin for this game and I like the Gators to win this game by a big margin today. I look for Florida to win the turnover margin easily and convert these turnovers to baskets. I also feel the Gators will go on several BIG RUNS that will pave the way. Look for Missouri to be fatigued mid-way in the second half and the Gators to go up by 20.+. HC Donovan might give the starters a breather , but they will still win by 15-16 points as they have quality second string talent that can start for most SEC schools right now.

Trends:
Missouri is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a SU win
Florida is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600

Michigan (N)

Illinois vs. Michigan------Michigan has won the last 5 match-ups vs. Illinois by an average of 15 ppg. The Wolverines are playing their best ball of the season down the stretch winners of 5 straight. They just beat Illinois on the road last week 84-53. Stauskas is playing his best ball of the season currently also averaging 21 ppg his last 5 games.

For Illinois, they are coming off a 64-54 win vs. Indiana yesterday but this was a much closer game then the 10 point deficit indicates. The Hoosiers made 16 turnovers and only shot 35% from the floor. They were still in the game with 2 minutes left despite this poor performance. Illinois shot 81% from the foul line and made 40% from the three point line and I feel they should have won this game much more easily.

While Indiana is the sloppiest team in the Big 10, Michigan takes care of the ball which is supported by a 1.60 assist: turnover ratio. They are also shooting the ball at 48% for the year from the floor and I see the trend to continue for the Wolverines this afternoon with a BLOWOUT win as Michigan is 7-0 ATS the Last 7 meetings.

Head-to-Head Trends:
Michigan is 7-0 ATS the last 7 meetings

Best Bet: BLUE STRIKE (10th)

Spot Play: BOB N TONY (2nd)

Race 1

(5) OUTA MY HEAD is knocking at the door and can boss these at his best. (3) ALL STAR DRAGON flashed good speed in his last two tries; main danger. (1) BAY FISHEN DOC was nailed for win honors last out; contender from the fence.

Race 2

(4) BOB N TONY was quite sharp in his last one. Trotter can get it done against these. (1) MASTER PINE was sent down the road for all the glory recently; player again. (6) PILATUS put in a mild rally for the placing last week; watch out.

Race 3

(2) FANELLI ROYAL moves out of the 8-hole to a cozy spot and can make tonight a winning one. (4) STONEBRIDGE BONUS is better than his last trip; maybe. (1) JOLLY LESTER got the victory upstate against lesser.

Race 4

(3) WALDORF HALL had a tough break in his last try. Trotter can make amends and take top prize. (5) SIR WINSTON drops a notch and gets post relief; threat. (2) SON OF NORDIC raced evenly last time around.

Race 5

(3) SOUTHWIND JAZMIN has been sharp in her last two trips to the post. Speedy mare gets another shot at glory. (5) PARTY HANGOVER tired in the stretch drive recently; main danger. (2) CHEYENNE MIRIAM has put in two seconds in a row; don't overlook.

Race 6

(3) ROYAL CEE CEE N closed late last out for the second spot. Pacing miss is fit and ready to make tonight a winning one. (4) RAMALAMA is back at Yonkers where this gal has done her best. (6) COCOA BEACH is not out of this by far.

Race 7

(3) DRIVE ALL NIGHT got the job done against lesser company. He moves up in class but his consistency makes him a big threat to boss these. (2) TRIP HANOVER put in a game effort for the score last time around; second best. (1) LIGHT UP THE SKY completes the trifecta.

Race 8

(6) SUPER MANNING is clearly knocking at the door and this trotter can put in a solid effort tonight. (4) ZOOMING raced evenly in his last try; dangerous. (7) TOBER has wheeled off four straight victories; can't dismiss

Race 9

Canadian invader (4) KEYSTONE ORION gets Brennan at the helm and could be ready to fire his best at first asking at the Hilltop. (3) CORAGGIOSO has good early zip; major player. (2) SMOOTHER RIDE could land a share.

Race 10

(1) BLUE STRIKE moves up the ladder off two straight scores. Good to see Brennan enticed to drive; gets my vote. (3) KEYSTONE RIDEAU needs to return to his 2-21 trip to contend; maybe. (8) BABES I SCOOT could handle the 8-hole and has speed to boot; beware.

Race 11

(1) WAR CRY HALL has put in two sharp efforts and this trotter is very capable of getting the job done with Pierce in the bike. (4) BASTILLE gets class relief and that might help his chances in here. (2) MELADYS MONET just missed the victory last out; contender.

Race 12

(1) FAST AND FIESTY is on a roll, scoring in her last two starts. She draws the fence and Sears has the return call; ready to roll. (4) MAGIC STARLIGHT got the job done last out down the road; threat again. (6) KEEPERS DESTINY could be right square in the mix with these.

Race 7 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

MEET STATS: 29 - 115 / $201.20 BEST BETS: 3 - 9 / $12.40

Best Bet: MARINADE HANOVER (13th)

Spot Play: SO NICE (9th)

Race 1

(9) OFFINTOTHESUNSET took a casual trip around the track as the 6-5 choice in her four-year-old debut and eventually flashed solid foot finishing. Toscano-trained mare should be more motivated tonight. (8) REVIVAL ROCK takes a quick drop in company after a no-chance first trip here and is in live hands. (2) ALL THE BUZZ would be the choice if the class was for more lightly-raced fillies.

Race 2

(8) HLDONTGHTTOYURDRMS has blossomed nicely this winter at Woodbine. Gelding hails from a talented trainer-driver combo and should dominate these. (5) BANKER VOLO will again attempt to grind these into submission. (9) JERSEY BOY picks up co-owner Gingras in the bike and figures to step up, but still most overcome the choice and the post.

Race 3

(5) HOLD ON TIGHTLY made a costly break in last; prior was a good tightener. Five-year-old picks up Dave Miller and may respond. (3) B L CLASS ACT appears to be getting sharper with each start and has the class to handle this crowd when right. (4) ARMBRO CASINO may appreciate the cheaper competition and the big track.

Race 4

(9) CANE RIDGE appears to have regained winning form. Veteran picks up Callahan and should be pointed forward. (5) MC RUSTY showed pace at both ends in the first leg of this series and must be respected. (4) HIGHLAND BOGART may have needed a race to become acclimated upon arriving from the south.

Race 5

(5) VAYA CON DIOS gets a class drop after returning from a brief layoff. Four-year-old should take advantage. (10) WINDSUN FIREBALL came up a little short for Burke in his first local start. Five-year-old must be respected. (8) HELIOS finally took matters into his own hooves last week going down the road. Fast but at times fractious gelding can take all.

Race 6

(6) DAYLON MAGICIAN is likely to benefit from the extra work after missing so much time due to stallion duty. Veteran has the inside track over his main rivals. (8) MODERN FAMILY has been rock solid this season for Bier and will give the choice a run for the money. (5) DWS NY YANK has been impressive every week this year but tackles a tougher group tonight.

Race 7

(9) OIL MAGNET picks up Gingras for his second start on the local comeback trail. Ten-year-old loves this track. (8) YOU BET YOUR GLASS is another that can wake up quickly from a lackluster performance. (5) MATTADOR D regained winning form at this level but faces a little tougher tonight.

Race 8

(9) HARBOR POINT had obvious trouble at Yonkers once reaching the higher level. Five-year-old returns to the big track and should regain his edge. (4) SIM BROWN has been a solid competitor in the upper classes in Ontario for the last few years and may be worth a price at this level. (3) DOUBLE BUNDY N was most impressive tracking down an open-lengths leader in his local debut.

Race 9

(2) SO NICE gets some post relief and a drop in company upon her return. Four-year-old had no chance in her first trip in a month from the outside at Yonkers and rates a long look here. (4) ARIA J took advantage of clear space along the pylons to skirt to victory last week. Four-year-old can handle the upgrade. (8) JANIE BAY took the wide route in the same Aria J race a week ago and it cost her on the wire. Veteran is in good hands.

Race 10

(11) AMERICA FERRERA went an even trip in her first start in more than seven months. Mare finds a good draw in the second tier behind a likely leaver in this distance event and may work out a good journey. (6) KZ BEACH GIRL showed some life after leaving the gate last time. (1) KAMWOOD LAUGHTER N was overbet and overdriven last week.

Race 11

(7) MONKEY ON MY WHEEL should be on the move early after last week's grind ended with a third place finish. Champion mare has looked more like her old self in recent weeks. (6) SOMWHEROVRARAINBOW is on the comeback trail for Holloway and may need a start. (5) CONTINUAL VELOCITY was roughed up at Yonkers but returns to the site of her last victory.

Race 12

(2) MAGGLIO is worth sticking with. Six-year-old may benefit from dueling leaders and pounce late. (4) BAMBINO GLIDE has looked sharp in both local outings but may have been vulnerable last time because of a slow third quarter. (8) TIME TO QUIT finally met his match in the Singer final but would seem up to this level.

Race 13

(3) MARINADE HANOVER finished with high acceleration after a ground-saving trip last week. Hopefully this mare is over her breaking habits and if so, should be best here. (8) LIGHTNING PAIGE may have to be a bit more aggressive early and get the lead instead of the long overland trip. (5) UP FRONT CRUISER may benefit from some cover.

#7 THE BEST MONKEY (ML=6/1)
#5 TEXAS TEX (ML=5/2)

THE BEST MONKEY - As the only speedball in the race, I expect this colt to be long gone. It looks like Olivero had to be in the know about this colt on January 29th when riding him for the initial time. Back aboard again today. This colt is obviously on the improve with speed figures of 44, 48, 67 last 3 out. TEXAS TEX - Hamm brings him right back. I advocate you stay with this strong colt. This thoroughbred picks up a lot of money per race around the track. I believe he will add to the lifetime bankroll today.

Vulnerable Contenders: #3 GRAY DAY LOVER (ML=3/1), #4 PUT IT FORWARD (ML=4/1), #6 JIM JAMM (ML=5/1),

GRAY DAY LOVER - 3/1 is not enough of a value to take on most any thoroughbred that has run poorly in back to back races. PUT IT FORWARD - This entrant just hasn't looked ready recently. JIM JAMM - This horse hasn't been coming close at the finish line recently. Hard to put your dough on the win end of any thoroughbred that finishes second and third as often as this thoroughbred does.

#4 RUFF PROOF is the pace profile leader in this O.C. field sprinting at 6.0 furlongs on the dirt, and has hit the board in "POWER RUN FASHION" in both of her two career starts to date, including a "POWER RUN WIN" to break her maiden in her "first asking." Jockey Orlando Mojica was in her irons for both "board hit results," and is back this afternoon for his 3rd ride, gunning for a 2nd "Circle Trip." #3 VERSYE is the overall speed leader in this field, and has nice early speed abilities to compliment for this sprint, and comes off a "POWER RUN WIN" to break her maiden in her "first asking." I did not however, consider her for my "top slot" since that winning race was some 166 days ago.

#2 STARSHIP ACE (ML=3/1)
#6 BIRDSONE (ML=5/1)

STARSHIP ACE - I like a thoroughbred that manages to be there at the wire as often as this colt. Almost always in the money so don't leave him out of your exotic bets. BIRDSONE - Trainer Glyshaw moves this thoroughbred down the class ladder to face a lower rated field. Look for a strong race this time out. Forgive the outside the top 3 finish on the off track in the last race. On a fast track, has a fair chance in this event.

Vulnerable Contenders: #7 SWARM (ML=5/2), #3 ETHICAL (ML=3/1), #1 RETRO RIDGE (ML=6/1),

SWARM - Didn't do much last time out. Probably won't do much running in today's race. ETHICAL - Today's contest is 6 furlongs. Hasn't finished in the money in a sprint race in the last 60 days. Not the best of omens. RETRO RIDGE - Where is the pace? None to be found in here to set things up for this thoroughbred.

RECOMMENDED CHOICES
The Walker Group Picks

# 9 DOLLY BONZ 9/5

# 2 LEAVE EM COUNTING 5/1

# 5 MISS HYMM 10/1

DOLLY BONZ is my choice. Is a very strong contender based on figs posted recently under today's conditions. Recently Saenz has been sizzling which may give the edge to this mare. Has strong Equibase Class Figures relative to this group of horses - worth a look. LEAVE EM COUNTING - Posted a strong speed rating last time out. Solid average Equibase speed figs in dirt sprint races make this horse a solid choice. MISS HYMM - She has a respectable distance/surface win record - 4 out of 15.

#4 SATURDAY BRAT (ML=9/2)
#3 PAM GOT EVEN (ML=10/1)
#1 HOLY TOUCH (ML=7/2)

SATURDAY BRAT - Cintron comes to ride after getting to know the filly in the last event. This filly is in fine form. Ended up third on February 20th. This filly should improve after adding Lasix in the last race and getting it again today. PAM GOT EVEN - Have to make this filly a serious competitor; she comes off a nice outing on February 22nd. I like a horse that manages to finish in the money as often as this filly. Almost always in the money so don't leave her out of your exotic bets. A repeat of that last effort on February 22nd where she garnered a figure of 64 looks high enough to triumph in this affair. This thoroughbred has increased her speed ratings from a fig of 53 to 61 to 64 in succession. HOLY TOUCH - This thoroughbred coming off a solid race in the last month is a contender in my opinion. Corrales adds Lasix for the 2nd time today. Should be helpful in today's race.

Vulnerable Contenders: #5 GO JULIE GO (ML=7/5), #2 ANOTHER CHANCE (ML=5/1), #6 AUNT ELLEN (ML=8/1),

GO JULIE GO - This entrant hasn't been on the track since Nov 29th. Not even any drills. AUNT ELLEN - I'd like to see more conducive recent outings with oddsmaker's morning line of 8/1. Unlikely that the speed figure she ********** on Feb 28th will be enough in this event.

RACE #3 - AQUEDUCT - 2:18 PM WINTERIZED INNER DIRT TRACK
8½ FURLONGS THREE YEARS OLD AND UPWARD STARTER ALLOWANCE $56,000.00 PURSE

#3 DENZEL
#2 STREET THUG
#1 POLIZIANO
#5 SILVER DAY

#3 DENZEL has hit the board in "POWER RUN FASHION" in three of his last five outings, winning in his 4th race back. He's coming off a "POWER RUN PLACE" finish in his last start, missing a "Circle Trip" in that race, facing slightly better company (+1), by just a "photographed nose" at the wire. #2 STREET THUG, the morning line favorite, has won two straight, including a "POWER RUN WIN" in his 2nd race back. Jockey Cornelio Velasquez was in his irons for those two wins, en route to a +90% return on investment in the process, and is back today for his 3rd ride, gunning for a "Hat Trick Win!"

RECOMMENDED CHOICES
The Walker Group Picks

# 2 BLACK DIAMOND CAT 4/1

# 3 ACTION ANDY 2/1

# 1 APRIORITY 9/5

I've got to go with BLACK DIAMOND CAT. Sound average Equibase speed figs in dirt sprint races make this pony a solid choice. This gelding with Cruz in the irons makes him a definite contender. Could best this field here, showing decent numbers of late. ACTION ANDY - Has very strong Equibase Speed Figs and has to be considered for a wager in this race. Will most likely be one of the early speedsters of the group going into the midpoint of the race. APRIORITY - Should be considered in here if only for the very strong speed figure put up in the last race. Has formidable Equibase Class Figures relative to this group of horses - worth a look.
