CFL | Hamilton vs Edmonton
Play on: Hamilton +7 -110

Pre-Week 10 Road dogs >+2 pts., no more than 3 games below .500 not off of a close win or loss go 60-22-1 73.2% ATS as long as they aren't on extremely short rest and the opponent isn't extremely well rested.

CFL | Winnipeg vs Montreal
Play on: UNDER 47 -110

Friday CFL Bonus Play. My selection is on the ‘under’ between Winnipeg and Montreal at 7 pm et on Friday.

We missed the mark with the ‘under’ in the Blue Bombers season-opener against the Eskimos – in fact, we weren’t even close to cashing with that play. With that in mind, I do think it’s wise to stay the course here, and call for a relatively low-scoring game between the Bombers and Alouettes on Friday night in Montreal. While the Als didn’t play well as a whole, they did limit a pretty good Lions offense to only 22 points in a losing effort last week. Here, they’ll be facing a true rookie CFL quarterback in Chris Streveler, who will be making his first road start north of the border. The Als are going to need to stack the box against Andrew Harris and force Streveler to beat them. On the flip side, the Bombers defense is better than it showed against Edmonton last week. This is an excellent bounce-back spot for the unit against a patchwork Als offense that features a couple of bright spots, but is largely a less than imposing group. Take the under (10*).

MLB | A's vs White Sox
Play on: A's -130

#MLB FREE PICK FROM MIKE LUNDIN

The Oakland Athetlics have heated up and are gunning for their season-high fifth win in a row when they take on the Chicago White Sox Frirday night in the second game of a double-header.

They slugged five homers in a 12-4 rout of the Padres on Wednesday and I think their bats will find plenty of success off White Sox right-hander Lucas Giolito (4-7, 7.19 ERA) as well. He's 1-4 with a 11.05 ERA in seven home starts on the season and gave up five runs on six hits with a pair of homers in 5 1/3 innings his last time out.

Chris Bassitt (0-2, 2.45 ERA) will take the ball for Oakland for his third start of the season. He was it up by the Halos his last time out but here he'll face a White Sox team which has averaged just 3.70 rpg on the season.

Athletics are 13-3 in their last 16 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400. White Sox are 1-8 in Giolito's last 9 starts vs. a team with a winning record.

Free pick on Oakland Athletics.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers vs. Montreal Alouettes Preview and Predictions

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers look to bounce back from their Week 1 loss when they hit the road to battle the Montreal Alouettes on Friday. The Blue Bombers were seemingly on their way to the first win of a new season before giving up 11 points in the final 1:22 of the 33-30 setback to the Edmonton Eskimos, and hope to get back on track by knocking off the Alouettes for the fourth consecutive time.

Chris Streveler, who became the first rookie quarterback to start a season opener since Anthony Calvillo in 1994, filled in admirably for an injured Matt Nichols and hopes to lead the Blue Bombers to their first road win over an East Division opponent since a 34-31 double-overtime victory against Montreal on Aug. 24, 2017. The Alouettes began the 2018 campaign where they left off last season as they suffered a 22-10 setback against the BC Lions to extend their losing streak to a franchise-worst 12 straight games. The same old problems continued to plague Montreal as it was held scoreless for the final three quarters of Mike Sherman's CFL coaching debut as the Alouettes failed to score 20 points for the ninth time in their last 10 games. "We have to do a lot better on offence," Montreal running back Tyrell Sutton admitted to reporters. "You can write that this is the same Alouettes, but whatever, it's game one."

TV: 7 p.m. ET, TSN, ESPN2

ABOUT THE BLUE BOMBERS (0-1): Streveler completed 15-of-28 passes for 178 yards and three touchdowns, and showed veteran poise in the pocket during one of the longest games in CFL history due to two separate weather delays that lasted a combined 2 hours and 55 minutes. "I thought he got better and more comfortable as the game went on," Winnipeg head coach Mike O'Shea told reporters. "If that kind of growth can be shown again through the next few games he's just going to keep getting better and better." Winnipeg added Mitchell Gale to the practice squad after backup quarterback Alex Ross suffered a lower-body injury against the Eskimos and will be sidelined four to six weeks.

ABOUT THE ALOUETTES (0-1): Right tackle Ruben Carter, who suffered a shoulder injury in the second quarter last week, is expected to be sidelined for the foreseeable future and will likely be replaced by either Sean Jamieson or Ryan Bomben. Drew Willy went 25-of-35 for 281 yards through the air with a touchdown pass to Geno Lewis before the offence came to a screeching half in the second half. Jeff Mathews is the backup quarterback after Montreal released Antonio Pipkin while the Alouettes also parted ways with wide receiver Seydou Haidara and former Notre Dame running back Amir Carlisle.

EXTRA POINTS

1. Winnipeg is 13-5 on the road since the start of the 2016 season.

2. The Alouettes have dropped five consecutive home games.

3. Blue Bombers WR Darvin Adams needs 44 receiving yards to reach 3,000 for his career.

PREDICTION: Blue Bombers 27, Alouettes 18

Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs. Edmonton Eskimos Preview and Predictions

The Edmonton Eskimos look to start 2-0 for the second straight season when they host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Friday. The Eskimos outlasted the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 33-30 in the longest regular-season game in CFL history - clocked in at five hours and 42 minutes - following two separate lightning delays and hope to take down the Tiger-Cats for the fifth consecutive time.

"Now that it's over we all think the win in Winnipeg is a real building block that galvanized this team," Edmonton head coach Jason Maas told reporters. "To be able to come back ... and win the game speaks volumes about the character and mental fortitude that we have." Hamilton is left to wonder what could've been after a couple of costly mistakes in the 28-14 setback against the Calgary Stampeders. Jeremiah Masoli had two turnovers, including an interception late in the fourth quarter, and finished without a touchdown pass, but head coach June Jones confirmed he will remain the starting quarterback for Friday's clash despite calls for Johnny Manziel to make his CFL regular-season debut. "We had the ball with a chance to score at the end to win and you can't throw a pick like that so that's on me," Masoli told reporters. "We just kept shooting ourselves in the foot and against a team like this you can't do that."

TV: 10 p.m. ET, TSN

ABOUT THE TIGER-CATS (0-1): Masoli completed 25-of-36 passes for 344 yards to go along with a rushing touchdown while Mike Jones had one of the best games of his career as he hauled in five passes for 120 yards, but it wasn't enough as Hamilton fell to Calgary for the 13th straight time. The Tiger-Cats made a move to bolster their secondary as they signed former all-star boundary cornerback Delvin Breaux, who returned to the CFL after a three-year stint with the New Orleans Saints. The Tiger-Cats released defensive back Demond Washington, who has struggled to make an impact since tearing his ACL during training camp in 2016, to make room for Breaux.

ABOUT THE ESKIMOS (1-0): Mike Reilly, who won the league's Most Outstanding Player award in 2017, started off the new season with a bang as he threw for 408 yards and a touchdown to go along with a pair of rushing touchdowns as Edmonton scored 11 points in the final 1:22 to edge Winnipeg. Derel Walker hauled in eight passes for 176 yards and a touchdown while Sean Whyte made 3-of-4 field goals, including the game-winning kick from 44 yards with eight seconds left. Edmonton suffered a number of injuries in the opening week as linebacker Adam Konar, defensive tackle Mike Moore and offensive lineman Tommie Draheim were placed on the six-game injured list.

EXTRA POINTS

1. The last five meetings between Edmonton and Hamilton have been decided by six points or fewer.

2. The Tiger-Cats have lost 13 of their last 15 regular-season games against West Division opponents.

3. Walker has caught 19 passes for 219 yards and three touchdowns in his last two games against Hamilton.

PREDICTION: Eskimos 34, Tiger-Cats 25
