This 4-9 L13 run is painful for me to watch. Tenn State and Maryland were pretty much inside the number in both of their games and of course they faded out to nothing at the end. The MD over saved me the embarrassment of an 0 for. Time to be confident in my selections and get out of this rut:
Penn -3 at Yale
Pennsylvania is a team I've watched a lot this season and they are better than 3 points at Yale. 5-2 ATS on the road/5-3 overall (they play MUCH better on the road as it is). Yale winless ATS at home and they give up 8 more ppg than they score. Penn actually shoots better from 3 pt land on the road than they do at home and Yale allows teams to shoot 13 percent better from downtown at home so Penn will be able to BOMB AWAY. Free throws and rebounding are relatively even but Penn is the better defensive team and they will not struggle. Penn has also won the last 4 and 9 of the last 10 against Yale.
Columbia +5.5 at Dartmouth
Bigtime garbage game pits 4-11 Columbia at 3-13 Dartmouth. First thing that jumped out at me was Columbia's ATS record (5-1/4-0 on the road). Dartmouth is known for getting KILLED on the glass (by like 7.5 boards a game) and Columbia's front line should see success underneath. Dartmouth a little better from the line but Columbia shoots 73 percent from the charity stripe on the road where they have played much more competitively. Neither team has played well recently (1-5 L6 for Columbia/0-6 L6 for Dartmouth) but I think Columbia has played a tougher schedule and the rebounding edge is too much to overlook when you're getting this many points.
Iona -7.5 vs Canisius
Iona owns Canisius in this series having won the last 6 and 8 of the last 10. They are also 6-0 L6 ATS against Canisius and beat them by 10 at Canisius 2 weeks ago. Iona much better statwise at home and their defense shows it allowing teams to shoot only 38 percent from the field. Iona better from the charity stripe and holds a monster rebounding edge at home against a Canisius squad that doesn't rebound period. Iona may be struggling this season but when they play Canisius it's a pretty strong bet they cover. I won't buck a 6-0 ATS run tonight.
Maybe a little basic explanation will help my plays tonight.
Good luck!!!
