Yes, but we all know how this works in the CA school system. First the teacher must be suspended while an investigation takes place. This will go on for 3-4 months. In the meantime, the teacher will be fully paid. Then the union brings in its lawyers, says he didn't mean to say it, and then they transfer the problem to a different school so he can cause more havoc there. And when one of the kids he's influencing does something stupid and gets arrested, they blame it on a gun. Yep, seen this dog and pony show too many times.

Yep, and then all you hear is we just need more money. Somehow in my neck of the woods, that seems to be the solution to everything...throw money at it. Some people just don't get that at some point, you actually need to fix problems instead of throw money at it. Results do matter (a concept that is lost on Liberals)

He'll take the defense that he didn't say he was going to do it, just thought that's what should be done. Of course, if he is influential in persuading one of his students to make an attempt, he will have been successful in his quest. Clearly a very sick individual. But the press and the Liberals will just blow it off, even though if this professor had said Obama should hang, the majority of this state would be calling for his resignation and issuing death threats to him. It's how they roll.

I was just listening to station in Fresno. The secret service is now investigating him, he has issued an apology, and the President will be making a statement later. One of the callers worked for the school and she said the one thing that has upset the other professors is that he has brought the matter to the forefront. They preferred things the way they were so they could continue to try and indoctrinate the kids from their bully pulpit, and not have any pressure put on them to make sure both viewpoints were covered. Imagine that.

I'm guessing the secret service made him an offer he couldn't refused (especially if it's true that he's here on a Green card). Sounds to me that no one was going to allow him to spin his implied threat. Just another fucking whack job that found out the hard way that people aren't going to put up with his shit.

I apologize for the tone and content of my statements made on twitter.
I ask forgiveness of those who felt threatened or offended by them.
It was never my intent to harm anyone, nor to encourage others to harm anyone.
My statements each represent the end point of a dark train of thought triggered by my despair over the actions of the present U.S. government.
That is what I meant by calling them “dark predictions.”
It felt cathartic at the time to write them down.
With 28 followers on twitter at the time, I never expected them to be read by anyone but a close circle of acquaintances who would know to place them in their context.
To treat twitter as of no more consequence than a journal was a poor decision.
I have deleted my twitter account, to preclude the possibility that anyone reading my statements in the future would take them as encouragement to act violently or unlawfully.
In this spirit, I am prepared to take full responsibility for my statements.
