The Cavs have a wide disparity in covering the spread vs expected win probability. In other words, they win games at a much higher rate than they cover. They're a team that if you like them then taking their ML over the spread makes sense.

Their point differential this year had them as a 43 win team and they won 50, then in the playoffs they went 4-3 vs Indy despite being outscored by 40 points. That's over an 88 game sample.

And I didn't bet Cavs last night fwiw, just was saying if you say you like a -220 and the team proceeds to blow the other team out then good chance it was a decent play.
