if your books/man/whatever has a money line on the lakers game (currently around -500) make every play you make today a 2-team parlay and include the lakers M/L bet as 1 of those plays.

i have done that today. i like tampa tonite in the NHL and here is what i am doing on this game. i am parlaying it with the lakers -500 on the money line. if this sounds crazy - it's not. lakers are going to win the game SU - we all know that. so why not include them in a parlay on TB. you KNOW the lakers will come home and now you get a bigger payout on TB. by parlaying TB with lakers M/L, the tampa payout goes from $0.91 to $1.29 or almost a $.40 difference. the books are giving you a FREE $.40 in this parlay. look - consider this will all bets you make today. simply make them 2-teamers with the lakers -500 on the M/L to make a better payout.

i know people will chime in here about this - and good for you. the person who comes in here and says lakers aren't a lock to win SU tonite should be laughed out of this site - for the lakers winning SU tonite is a 100% DEAD MORTAL LOCK - and we all know it. so why not take advantage of this and add it to all parlays and make a few more $$$ today.

I agree that the Lakers are almost certainly going to win tonight, but I wouldn't say it's 100%. If you really believe that it is a 100% certainty, wouldnt you put everything you own on the line tonight? I doubt you have done that......

good luck with your plays

as for the 100% well the basketball can bounce strange way sometimes.

You neve know if Shaq will go 3 for 16 from the line for example?

Spree could go 8 of 9 in 3's.

Foul trouble early, Technical fouls, who knows.

I think -500 is way too high for LA in this game. -400 is closer.

im sure you did not put your entire savings on this -500 sure thing, or did you????

Excellent points TTT.

Plus, on top of all that - the injury factor.

You never know when the big blob Shaq might have another toe jam flare up.

If Minn can find a way to steal this game, they have a decent chance to win the home game 7 and represent the west in the NBA finals. I think LAL wins but no way would I tie it to every wager I make today.

HELL NO! all i did is when i made my normal sized plays on faves today, i added the lakers to those plays to make those faves not dogs - since the parlay returns "plus" money. on the dogs i bet today i just payed them by themselves.

Tempting, and probably right, but what if Shaq or Kobe sprain an ankle in the first 5 minutes.

The Lakers on the ML today is the biggest lock I've seen in 47 years in this business.

I'm taking out 2nd and THIRD Mortgages to bring home the bacon on this easiest winner in my mortal lifetime!

My only regret is that the market is closed today, or I would be cashing in my entire portfolio to unload even further on this monster lock!

Mark 4:19 - "Blessed are those who have the Lakers on the Money Line today, for they shall inherit riches!"

Future Memorial Days will be a testament to the easiest winner ever to be posted on a tote board...

Well, I guess even you don't really believe it's a 100% certainty then if you didn't put your whole bankroll and then some on LAkers on the moneyline tonight

Good luck and I do think you're going to be a winner tonight(but not 100%, just 80-90%)

Make that "Shaq AND Kobe." Thed Lakers can handle the wolves at home minus one of the two. Now if both went down they could be in trouble.

Will Malone actually make an effort to do silly stuff like hustle & play defense today?
or will he stand around and watch Shaq and Kobe win his ring for him?

Yes -125
No -105

One of the reasons teams come back in the 4th quarter or in underdog games with injuries is they change their play style.

A team with 4 superstars may play thinking they can take risks and toss up a few 3s they shouldn't, gamble on steals, and cherry pick.

A team with 4 Mark Madsens and Garnett are just trying to not screw up. They want to leave the building thinking if we lose its not my fault and I had 10 rebounds.

So then you have Garnett with 35 and 4 guys with no TOs and 15 boards.

Personally, I stay away from heavy chalk in that scenario. I feel like I'm gambling taking the the fav when the line is already adjusted for everyone to do so. Any value is drained out of the Lakers play even if you think they are going to dominate.

I agree with you Winky, but I wish you didn't post it. Now I am scared that the Lakers are jinxed but my bets are already in. Go Lakers!!!
