starts tomorrow. Can't say I am expecting much as the Sabres are never big players. But it is fun to watch nonetheless.
I liked the Flames signed Conroy and Langkow back.

Who is going after who??
Where will Sundin land??
Flyers--how much will they spend??
Hossa??
Hockey talk in July only about 95 days until the puck drops again

Flyers have a current cap hit of ~ $54.4 million for their top 15 players. This includes the recent Carter signing, but not Eminger. Something must be wrong, but that's what the numbers say.

Briere - 6.5
Timonen - 6.3
Richards - 5.75
Gagne - 5.25
Carter - 5
Hartnell - 4.2
Biron - 3.5
Hatcher - 3.5
Rathje - 3.5
Knuble - 2.8
Lupul - 2.3
Gauthier - 2.1
Coburn - 1.3
Nittymaki - 1.2
Upshall - 1.2
-------------------
$54.4 mil

This can't be right, so i wonder what's going on with Gauthier and Gagne.
Either way, it's ugly.

We're heading into FA with 21.6 million of cap space.

Malkin will be signing a 5 year 42 million dollar extension, quite the steal.

If Hossa doesn't sign which we will have a good indication very early into free agency whether he will or not, Shero will turn his attention the likes of Markus Naslund, Radim Vrbata, Brian Rolston, (if he hits the market) Michael Ryder, Pavel Demitra, Marty Straka, Andrew Brunette.

Gonna be a huge day today fellas.

My Wings need to sign Stuart first and foremost and then concentrate on Sundin. Word is their prepared to spend big money on Mats. Their also talking about Todd "Stillwoozie" coming back. Don't know about that one. He did play well for us in the 07' playoffs though. Also their's rumors Holland will take chances on reclamation projects Theodore or Emery. Gonna be a fun day.

Must be nice to have your team actually sign players that you have at least heard of-LOL.
Sabres need so much help on D. It seems there are some good ones out there-Brisebois/Campbell etc.
My prediction is Buffalo signs an old vet that they lost in years pat--Zhitnik/Peca/Barnes come to mind.
They need a backup goalie as well with Joseyln leaving..

This should be a fun day today as free agency just got underway 42 mins ago.

Looks like the OIL is dumping salary to try to land someone.

The Oil an TB are making big splashes today. Wow!

I'm loving what Edmonton are doing. Really admire that franchise.

TSN reporting 4 teams serious about Sundin. One team has offered a multi-year deal over $10m a year. Are you kidding?? Must be the NYR

Nope it was Vancouver. Sundin has to sign that deal. 2 years $10 mil per year...he'd be crazy not to sign.

I dont believe Sundin is in it for the money. He wants a cup. Not 2 years of misery. Detroit is the perfect fit but i'm not sure they have the cash now. Maybe they do. You'd think he would have been signed by Montreal by now.

If Sundin is looking for a cup he should sign with the Rangers, if he's looking for money, but also at least a team that will compete he should take the deal with Vancouver.

What would chicago go and sign huet for when they already have Bulin?

I mean this just looks like a waste of money unless they are dealing Habby
