Frank Mir at the weigh-ins!!!!

Do the math. Mir already beat him once and since that victory, he pulled off the most impressive performance of his career when he pounded Big Nog standing.

People say well Brock had him until he was penalized the first fight but dont forget when they were broken up that Mir was transitioning to an armbar that I think would have finished the fight.

Mir at +215 is an awesome value play.

He is in phenomenal shape!

Mir does look shredded right now. Brock barely looked bigger.

i have bonnar parlayed out the ying-yang...coleman looked like dick gregory after one of those long fasts....he walked like he had rheumatoid arthritis...and there were rumors circulating that he had trouble making weight......

after seeing the weigh in,that was obviously a gross understatement..

Who cares how shredded he is. Brock is gonna have 25 pounds on him. A punch to the face hurts either way.

I read most all of your posting, but this time I thing you are too much a fan of the dog in this one.

Big Nog is not the fighter he used to be, Mirs stand up has not improved from what I can see, and I don’t understand people who are saying that.

I think lesrner has knock out power, but he uses it to set up his shoot more then to stand, but we have seen he is not afraid to stand. I don’t think anyone can go toe to toe with lesner except Fedor.

Transitioning to an armbar , id have to watch it again, I have 25 years grapping experience stealing moves from old Bruce Lee Gung Fu books. He was half way in the fetal postion, what a pussy move, so lesner had no choice but to hit the back of his head.

Are you telling me that Mir brings so much more to the table then Randy Couture or Heath Herring , i dont think so. they had 70+ pro fights between them, and what kind of offence did either one of them generate.

I have a lot of respect for BJJ and have seen it in it rawest form as young kids in brazil used it to kill tourest cause they were so poor. But it will not work tonight.

Mir has better standup and subs than either of 'em. Both opponents are washed up. If it was LHW /w Couture I wouldn't say the same thing re: striking, but at HW Mir has the advantage.

Amazing to see the shape Mir is in, didn't think he could get there (just because in the past he apparently hasn't wanted to).

Probably about 40lbs. Brock cut to 265 so he'll be bigger tomorrow while Mir will be about the same size.

People are way too excited about Mir's beatdown of Nog. Mir dominated him but he had both an ACL injury & serious staph infection which forced him to be hospitalized after the fight. Re-watch it & you'll see Nog only go forward & back eating everything Mir threw since he had NO lateral movement. Pretty sure Brock won't be doing the same thing.

Nog also limping when he entered the octagon I'm pretty sure.

Nog fight not so much why I like Mir, I just think he still has upside given that he's been plagued by injuries and his own lack of motivation. If he ever shows up as the fighter he SHOULD be, I think he is just as good as any other HW. His level of fitness is a good sign as far as his dedication goes.

You should be ban from the board till after after the fight for being on Crack.. frank Mir is in Profession fighter and that would be an edge if he was fighting say a Tim Sylvia.. the speed difference in this fight is a joke, Mir is going to lose.

I don't think saying Mir has better striking than washed-up Herring & Couture justifies that response...

But as far as Lesner's advantage as far as quickness goes - I agree - I think Lesner's speed is by far his greatest asset as a HW, considering we have seen large fighters over the years who are unable to utilize their size due to other deficiencies (speed, conditioning, lack of ground game, no sub defense).
