The Fox network blew it with the Humber perfect game.

The announcers of the Yankee/Red Sox game first mentioned Humber's perfect game in the 6th inning , they started giving detailed reports in the 7th inning , but they never switched away from the Yankee game until the bottom of the 9th , and even then they kept it on split screen until the very final batter when they finaly swithced to full screen.

Very poor production and direction by whoever was in charge.

What i really found interesting was that after the game they stayed "full" screen for several minutes (maybe 8-10) to show the post game interview in "full" screen. (btw , the kid was great in his interview , very humble and likeable)

So Fox was willing to switch from the Yankees/Red Sox game for 8-10 mins to give full screen coverage to the post game interview , but ther were'nt willing to show the final 3 outs in full screen. .... I guess the interview is more important than the action.

The only problem with the coverage was FOX not showing a side angle of the Damn batter to really see if he went around or not. i personally don't think he went around but I haven't seen another shot ,other than the one they keep showing head on.

Center field shot is tough on a check swing call but I would lay odds batter did not go. I waited around for the first base camera to settle it but only got the hug fest and weak interview...then I watched my 9-0 Red Sox lead go up in smoke after I talked myself out of betting the over in the game.

They went full screen after the first out. They weren't obligated to show it at all so what's all the fuss?

Of course they weren't obligated to, but that is what everyone watching it wanted to see. Only positives come from switching it. Leaving us with the Sox.Yanks game in the 4th innning or whatever only causes complaints
