I am changing the way that I bet football this season. I am usually a guy that will bet everything that a few services have and then a few of my own and the rest is history. This year I want to be very selective and only play the best of a service or a few other cappers have. I don't mind playing only a few games a week since I think that will/ could bring a profit.

So I am asking the forum for suggestions on who to follow here or some services that have strong top plays. I only am going to play the best and if that is only a couple of plays from them a year then fine. So far my list is:

ASA: 5* or better only
Phil steele: goy only

please give me some insight on who I can add to the list. please specify whether I should watch their ncaa or nfl picks or either.

Thanks

This is as good as many services - get a newly minted quarter, flip it, heads play on the fav, tails play the dog.

Hopefully, Sixth Sense will continue his detailed NFL writeups this year. He'll give you a load of helpful info...

Las Vegas Review Journal ((www.lvrj.com)) writer Matt Youmans (sp?) has a column in which local Vegas 'cappers will give their opinions on upcoming games toward the end of the week.

thanks nomad.

I will look into it each week. How good is the sixth sense and what is his rating system?

I only want to limit myself to the best plays from cappers here to protect myself from playing the board each weekend.

the best opinion i can give is believe in yourself. theres great posters here but to blindly follow along will lose you money in the end. if you need service plays or anyone here to aid in your betting you shouldnt be betting at all.theres decent systems and good opinions but in the end its your own hard work and attention to handicapping detail that will make you a success in this realm. when in vegas you dont hand the person next to you at the slots to put the money in and hit the button do you? its way better to do it yourself.

roxygurl.

I hear your point but your example is shit. Playing a slot machine takes absolutely no thought or preparation. Just put in your money and pull the handle. That's it. But with betting you have an advantage (over the other gambling games) in that trends, other cappers, and sports reports can give you something to work with. Now if I was doing this full-time, and I would love to do it, but I work alot of hours and can't put the insight into games like some of the others can. There are cappers here that are extremely good that have plays that win over the course of a season. I just want to find a few of them, have a few plays a week, and cash in at the end of the week. It is the same principle if you can your stock broker and ask him what to invest in. He says "this" and you invest, make money and collect. Now the broker doesn't always make money and neither does a bettor but you see my point hopefully. I want to find some trends, cappers, whatever that can be my "stock broker" for sports betting. That's it.
