I personally like South Carolina tonight and the only person I have seen leaning that way is Lewis. Everyone else is putting major emphasis on Kentucky as well as Kansas where I like Nebraska. Could we have a repeat of last night where everyone was on Michigan St. and Providence and both were big losers?

I wouldn't count both "BIG" losers....Providence was smoked, yes...Mich St. on the other hand was the right pick in that game, just turned out for the worst...So by saying the majorioty consensus was wrong last time is an overstatement...best of luck tonight.

I too like Kentucky although haven't played it yet

wheredatreezat,

I was also on Mich St. last night and even if Davis played there was no guarantee they would have covered from where I was sitting as Wisconsin was playing well and even leading at half. So imo, Mich St. was not the right play!

Jack - the game is 40 minutes....sure Wiscy played well....however, them leading at the half doesn't make them the right play, IMO...When push came to shove M. St. had the lead late in the game after a hard fought battle all the way throughout...Davis not being able to help them the last 3 minutes certainly hurt and in contrast to what you said, there is no way of saying Wiscky would have covered/won if Davus played...Just throwing in my 2 cents....not trying to stir anything up...best of luck tonight.

I would also lean towards South Carolina tonight. Dave Odom got run out of town when he was at Wake Forest but he's done a great job this season. The Gamecocks always play hard and this is a much bigger game for them than it is for Kentucky. The Wildcats have already clinched their division while USC is battling to finish second and get a first round bye in the SEC tourney. South Carolina has only lost two of seven at home, by three points to Florida and in OT against Miss St., the best team in the conference.

hey kojak I havent exactly been ice cold bud

I like Kentucky but I didnt say I liked kansas I just said I liked them to win in the 4 team 10 pt tease... Nebraska will probably cover the spread and if I had to bet the game thats who I'd take.

But I do like kansas to win at home with some revenge on the mind late in the season when it counts...

Brendan...wouldn't it make more sense to wait until the half to play the Gamecocks then???

If Kentucky is up you will get more then the 1 point spread you get from the start....If Kentucky is down, you woulda broke even anyway so in essence there would be a no bet...Seems that you would have more value this way.

Kojak:

Before addressing your question about tonight's game, I would like to briefly touch upon last night's Michigan State/Wisconsin game. As you know this is but one game but it is important for the future to have viewed it correctly. True Wisconsin led at half 35-30 but with approximately 3 minutes remaining, the Spartans were taking control of the game and up, by I believe although not exactly certain 4 or 5 points, when Davis went down with the leg cramps. He was having a career night and this left the Spartans with no inside presence. Without the injury, which is part of sports, I believe the Spartans who had the game momentum at the time would have closed out the game and covered and overtime would have never occured. This was no blow-out loss. Just this oldman's view of that particular game.

As for tonight's Kentucky/South Carolina game, I took a long hard look at this game because it reminds me so much of the two games between Kentucky and Georgia which were both won by the Bulldogs. In the SEC, in big, meaningful games of the top teams, when the conference road favorite has come to town, they have left with a loss. I greatly respect the Kentucky program, team and coach and when they play you get their very best every time out. That being said, one can't dismiss the fact that these two teams played earlier in Kentucky and the final score was 65-64 in favor of the Wildcats. If the Gamecocks are for real, then my lean would be with them tonight. That being said, I believe either team can win tonight and since the number opened at a pick and is now -1, there is no line value. Thus, I will be passing on the game.
