Kojak:
Before addressing your question about tonight's game, I would like to briefly touch upon last night's Michigan State/Wisconsin game. As you know this is but one game but it is important for the future to have viewed it correctly. True Wisconsin led at half 35-30 but with approximately 3 minutes remaining, the Spartans were taking control of the game and up, by I believe although not exactly certain 4 or 5 points, when Davis went down with the leg cramps. He was having a career night and this left the Spartans with no inside presence. Without the injury, which is part of sports, I believe the Spartans who had the game momentum at the time would have closed out the game and covered and overtime would have never occured. This was no blow-out loss. Just this oldman's view of that particular game.
As for tonight's Kentucky/South Carolina game, I took a long hard look at this game because it reminds me so much of the two games between Kentucky and Georgia which were both won by the Bulldogs. In the SEC, in big, meaningful games of the top teams, when the conference road favorite has come to town, they have left with a loss. I greatly respect the Kentucky program, team and coach and when they play you get their very best every time out. That being said, one can't dismiss the fact that these two teams played earlier in Kentucky and the final score was 65-64 in favor of the Wildcats. If the Gamecocks are for real, then my lean would be with them tonight. That being said, I believe either team can win tonight and since the number opened at a pick and is now -1, there is no line value. Thus, I will be passing on the game.
