Anyone else have a lot of crashing when using safari ? It's only when loading pages , completely closes window. Not sure why it always worked decent before

I quit using Safari on mY MAC for the reasons you listed. Switch to chrome you will be happy you did.

Install chrome and you won't have any issues.
