GWIN Announces Former NFL Head Coach Ron Meyer Joins The WinningEDGE Team
LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 22, 2004--Wayne Allyn Root, chairman & CEO of GWIN Inc. (OTCBB: GWNI), America's only publicly traded sports handicapping firm, announced today that former NFL head coach Ron Meyer, has agreed to join GWIN's flagship TV and radio shows, Wayne Allyn Root's WinningEDGE(TM). Meyer is a two-time AFC Coach of the Year with the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts, as well as a former NFL analyst for CNN. He has also served as a head coach at SMU, where he won honors as Southwest Conference Coach of the Year, and at UNLV, where he was runner-up as College Football Coach of the Year. Most recently he served as head coach of the Chicago Enforcers of the XFL. Meyer will join the WinningEDGE team of professional sports analysts and handicappers on GWIN's national TV and radio programs. He joins a broadcasting and handicapping team that includes GWIN Chairman Wayne Allyn Root, a former host and NFL analyst for Financial News Network (now known as CNBC) and a 10-time national handicapping champion; world champion handicapper and Las Vegas insider Larry Ness; EMMY Award winning sportscaster and journalist Chet Coppock; 30-time national handicapping champion, Al McMordie; and NFL Hall of Famer and Super Bowl MVP Randy White.
Root said of the addition of Meyer, "Handicapping is all about credibility. GWIN has built Wayne Allyn Root's WinningEDGE(TM) into the most successful sports handicapping show in America because of the unsurpassed quality of the production, combined with the credibility, name recognition and professionalism of our handicappers. Nowhere else on American television or radio will you find a football handicapping show with a bevy of stars that include national handicapping champions, an EMMY award-winning sportscaster, an NFL Hall of Famer & Super Bowl MVP, and now a former NFL Coach of The Year. It is estimated that $380 billion is bet on sports in America annually. That makes sports gaming a bigger business than the U.S. auto industry. We are proud to say that we offer the most credible, respected and successful collection of professional handicappers in the country -- all under one roof. There is now no reason for any American sports bettor to look anywhere else for advice -- except WinningEDGE TV and www.winningEDGE.com. The addition of two-time AFC Coach of the Year Ron Meyer to our roster will again raise the bar in our industry."
Per Meyer, "I'm very pleased to join The WinningEDGE television and radio team and to associate myself with Wayne Root and GWIN. The WinningEDGE is a first-class production, and I look forward to making it even better by using my years of NFL and college coaching experience to add my insights and analysis to the program."
