For some time I’ve been both meaning to and then avoiding posting mid-event, not on the golf, but on my capping of this or that. But I haven’t wanted to jinx myself.

Since football season began, my golf viewing is way down, maybe 2-4 total hours since the Ryder Cup. The rebound this season was built on stepping up my game in all areas, and viewing has always been a fertile source for any of my success . . . and that was stepped up, certainly by the time of Jason Day getting across the line on Monday at Torrey.

I was profitable last week, and the downside has been minimal since the Ryder Cup. There has been enough residual feel or insight on 2018 that I’m not now just lurching about with developing a short list, and then digging for a at least a bit of INFORMATION or ANGLES for then making selections. So now with weekends being usually nothing but viewing football, it would still be really nice if there’s enough magic left to land one more baby whale in November to cap the season.

Closing with three golf observations: (1) The moment apparently came too quick and easy for Oliver Fisher, and IMO it isn’t doing him any favors right at this moment; (2) Willet and Varner are my two regrets this weekend who were extremely close to being longshot plays; and (3) I printed off a sheet of in-running odds for the first time in maybe two months and I need to venture out with at least one play.
