- - If this was any other U.S. Open venue, there is no way I would be on the newly minted Masters champion and his caddy at this price . . . If this was almost any other U.S. Open venue (Merion, Winged Foot, and maybe Bethpage, being the exceptions), I would not be on Phil at this price . . . At any U.S. Open venue, Rose would carry some of my cash this week, and I think his thoughts and approach on the venue we have have been as solid as any . . . If this was any other U.S. Open venue, I'd indulge in a few quid on Montgomerie in the Top European Market . . . All things being equal, I like the fact Snedeker missed the cut at Augusta . . . Noren is my hunch and value loser for the week, coming from a very similar angle I liked last week for Karrie Webb as a hunch and a value loser . . . IMO, this is not the week for Glover to yip his way close to any championship . . . I hope to squeeze in a couple more hours of capping for some additional plays, but my limited time this week will be going into hours of watching the Open, not in capping it.
