- - If this was any other U.S. Open venue, there is no way I would be on the newly minted Masters champion and his caddy at this price . . . If this was almost any other U.S. Open venue (Merion, Winged Foot, and maybe Bethpage, being the exceptions), I would not be on Phil at this price . . . At any U.S. Open venue, Rose would carry some of my cash this week, and I think his thoughts and approach on the venue we have have been as solid as any . . . If this was any other U.S. Open venue, I'd indulge in a few quid on Montgomerie in the Top European Market . . . All things being equal, I like the fact Snedeker missed the cut at Augusta . . . Noren is my hunch and value loser for the week, coming from a very similar angle I liked last week for Karrie Webb as a hunch and a value loser . . . IMO, this is not the week for Glover to yip his way close to any championship . . . I hope to squeeze in a couple more hours of capping for some additional plays, but my limited time this week will be going into hours of watching the Open, not in capping it.

"I was pretty flat last night because I kind of had a chance after 36 holes and I didn't have a chance after 54. Well, no, I didn't really. But all in all, I like how I'm playing. I missed a bunch of putts on the first two days. I could have been in a lot better position. I kind of made a few today. Didn't make them all, but made a few. I played well, moved forward the right direction on Sunday. My next start is actually going to be St. Andrews which is probably my favorite place in the world to play golf, so pretty excited about that. My form seems to be getting better bit by bit. I don't go under par very often at the U.S. Open, so it's nice to do it on a Sunday."

U.S. Women's Open:

Outrights:

Stacy Lewis(12/1) e.w.
Michelle Wie(80/1) e.w.

- - A Golf Channel analyst reported that her impression from a visit to Lancaster C.C. was a preponderance of greens with substantial slopes from right to left and back to front, and few women hit approach shots with the preferred left to right shape, except Stacy Lewis . . . A strong preference for shots shaped left to right was reason enough for leaving Angela Stanford off my roster for the U.S. Open for the first time in memory . . . And Michelle Wie was awesome last year while carrying my cash at Pinehurst at 16/1, and she can carry my cash again here at 80/1.
