all these "sharps" were DESTROYED in NFL 2005. DESTROYED! They don't handicap; they bet dogs, dogs, and more dogs.
one year is not a valid sample size for either arguement (sharp or non sharp). but truth be told the books win every year. and the books know there are a few people who can beat them year in and year out. the betting public will always be losers. if not for losers the books would not be in business. are you saying lines makers are not sharp by drawing in 70-80% of the betting public on one side only to have that side lose? lines makers are not the only "sharp" people betting. and the linesmakers are not the only ones who know how to make a line and or see pure value. most of the offshores have there own outside line makers (mostly sharp/strong players, CRIS, Cascade, greek and pinnacle are examples) and most of them have a betting lottery for sharps to bet itnto for small limits before they open to the public. this is generally used in college foots, nfl and college hoops....i know a baseball line maker for cascade (they use to use 8-10 guys) and a guy who did prop plays for the greek. the best lines makers for a offshore are there "sharp" players
books know who there sharp players are and move the line instantly off there plays...they dont need to be big players either. books track all players plays and keep a good eye on certain accounts. why do you think peoples limits get cut and/or shown the door at a book??
