acw (or someone else in the know), I see you often mention PacificSportClub or Indosoccer. How safe are these books? Do they boot winners?

How safe are these books?
I think it is better if we ask ourselves the question: Are Asian books safe?
Well they are at least better than Caribbean books, as those Caribbean books have no clue how to book nor do they have any technical (IT) knowledge.
Here in Asia most of the books have a long time proper bookmaking experience (and I think Indosoccer is the best), but many of these guys are not up to date with the latest technology and all the risks. To give you a silly example Singbet, JP168, GStar, DMNC and 3Starbet all use the same software. Well what if someone within that software company becomes/is corrupt?
Still you should open an account with PacificSportClub. I consider them safe. Not as safe as a Ladbrokes or William Hill, but safe enough.

Do they boot winners?
They love what they themselves call: Real punters. It does not matter if you are a winner or a loser, but they do not like middlers, scalpers, etc. They will simply follow winners, but if it turns out that they can only follow you by having to lay off your action at a cost, then you will get the boot especially if you turn out to be not that good. They claim to have guys that make 14% on turnover. Obviously if they have to lay off that action at a slightly lesser price, then they are still more than happy to do that, as the information itself is valuable enough. Those guys that do the 3% turnover simply because they are diehard line shoppers will nicely be shown the door.

acw, many thanks for a thorough reply! Appreciated.

I think I read somewhere (probably from one of your post) that PSC is a European part of Indosoccer? If that's the case there's no need for having both accounts, unless of course lines differ.

The other asian books you mention I don't have a clue about. So far, from a european point of view, PSC & Pointbet (are they solid?) look good. Any other recommendations?

When did the last Asian book go under, and what happened to their customers?

kongen,

Nearly all books here are credit books, so if they have not paid by Monday or Thursday in the China region and Tuseday or Friday in the Indonesian region, then everyone gets to know, so books are very careful!

Sorry ignorant,

The question has been answered elsewhere already, but you may consider PSC the same as Indosoccer.
