The couple that I have been have been nowhere near what you describe. Mostly just computer terminals and very boring. Absolutly no distactions for the clerks to get to.

Wilheim took my word for it. I am to blame for the incident, Not Wilheim. I sent you a personal apology as I thought it best to handle off forum, but I am fine with a public apology as well. I am sorry for making that assumption and not being able to present factual evidence on the matter. I do expect better from myself.

who- I was in Jamaica back in 98, I had a friend (at the time) who worked for ESB. About that time was when Dennis A. really started to go down hill. I have also visited a few different books in Curacao on a few different occasions.

Just like a call center really. There are pictures on some of the offshore's sites around that are quite accurate, maybe 5 to 10 rows of computers, about 8 to 10 computers in a row. Then at a raised level are a couple of areas, some for the supervisors, some fro the line managers. Sort of like what you would see in a large conference room at a resort. When games are about to start there is a bit of a buzzing sound of clerks talking on the phones, but there isn't any sports noise from TVs. Sometimes you hear the line managers or supervisors let out some modest noise during a game, but only from something they see on a muted TV or more often these days, following games on the web.

as a clerk, you get bored most of the day in any sportbook, imagine working from 8-6 on a weekday with NO daygames, you might get no more than 5 calls in an hour.No talking allowed, pick up the phone, go home. Some do have TV's, but many ticos dont care about the games, weekends are better(the noisy days) cause the day goes by a lot faster. Of course it's different for a supervisor or line managers since you get internet access and as many breaks as you like and your hours are a lot more flexible.
