Started my own business in 1990 after working for someone and although it took me a while to get it going, would never go back.
Started by myself for a couple years and now have over 35 employees.
My son is in college and although he already knows everything :lolBIG: all of a sudden he is wondering why he would go to work for someone else (he is a freshman majoring in civil engineering) and wants us to think about him taking over the business and paying us a salary indefinitely.
SO bottom line, freedom, flexibility, duplicating yourself to have others bring in a buck cannot be beat. Although we have a service business and nobody knows the growing pains it takes. Sweating on paying the bills, meeting payroll, dealing with insurance and taxes and getting good help. But wouldnt have it another way.
Only person that has job security is my wife, since she sleeps with the boss.
Making sure you have good help and I sleep very well at night.
