For the record.
Fishhead is leaving on the best of terms and knows he is welcome back here at The Rx. anytime. There is no drama here, his departure has nothing to do with The Rx.com's business model changing, we are not downsizing, if anything we are growing and up sizing. I know three mods have resigned in the last four or five months (Oldmanted, Dante and now Fish) but they all did so for their own reasons and none were fired or left under any kind of duress. I can't speak for changes made with the editorial staff (Wild Bill) but I understand he also left on good terms but he did not work for me and I really do not know the exact details.
Xpanda has been a key addition to our staff and is doing an excellent job as the newly created position of Rx. Communications Coordinator. She is also a part time moderator (although she puts in full time hours). Her addition has been a terrific boost to the overall efficiency of the site. Xpanda is 100% honest and always willing to help when asked.
The truth is we had became somewhat top heavy with moderators which I take the blame for (doing the hiring) so we still have plenty of people to cover the site 24/7 despite the resignations.
The Rx. has no interest in any form of inter forum drama and will not indulge in any kind of gossip or guessing about what other sites are doing, we do not tell or ask any of our moderators or posters to visit other sites to create controversy. Bottom line there is let them say what ever they want to say, the truth is The Rx. is doing just fine.
The principle agenda here at the The Rx. is to create a friendly and helpful environment for our posters to discuss gambling in general and sports betting in particular. We also encourage posters to use this and the various other forums for off topic subjects that many find interesting.
The books that advertise here all have the confidence of our management and each and every moderator will do everything within his or her power to help any Rxer who has a problem with any sportsbook that advertises here. Always remember if you have a problem with an Rx. advertiser book you are only an email away from getting help. Our goal with poster/advertiser disputes is to always be sure that the right thing is done in the end. Naturally regarding non advertiser books we will always do all that we can to help in those cases also.
The Rx. continues to grow by hundreds of new posters every month and we are looking forward to a great 2007. I hope to start discussions about this years Rx. Bash soon and most certainly will post all information on these pages ASAP.
Moderator Sportsavant continues to do a terrific job as the official Rx. contest director and I am very pleased The Rx. choose to place him in that position. Any Rxer with a contest idea is invited to contact him with the idea so that he can discuss and investigate it's feasibility. Sportsavant has an excellent mind and has become a key employee here at The Rx.
Moderator Journeyman is now the senior mod here at the Rx. and can be counted on for his interesting and at times very humorous threads. Jman's contributions to The Rx. over the years have been far to numerous to count. He remains one of the rocks the site is built on.
Moderator TTinCO is a savy offshore player who is also a big help to Rxers who have tech problems with their PCs. The Rx. counts of him to keep the riff raff out and he is my main man late at night. This summer will mark two years TT has been here at The Rx. helping posters with everything from betting advice to how to find a lost password. For the record TTinCO was the first moderator I hired and I remember he was very surprised when I emailed him and asked if he was interested. The guy is solid and as fine a friend a person could have.
Moderator RobFunk is our late late show guy and does yeoman's work with the important Rx. Tracker Forum. He also is coming up on two years here at The rx. and I am very happy to have him on the team. Rob will do anything he is asked when it comes to helping the site and it's posters and is a valuable member of the mod team.
Are we going to miss Fishhead? You bet we are but please believe me the Rx. is going carry on to be here for a long time to come.
Led by reletively new Rx.com General Manager Rick Allec the site has several new innovative concepts in the works, the first of which is the new almost completed live lines feature. Rick has improved Rx. Tech Support greatly with some key additions in that area.
I am rapidly approaching 2 years as head moderator here at The Rx. and have learned a lot over that time. I know the life blood of the site is it's posters and I pledge to do my best to be of service to each and everyone of you that asks for my help. Never hesitate to contact me if you feel that there is a problem that I can be of assistance to you with..
Finally, my hat goes off to Marty Jensen who has displayed nothing but integrity and respect towards me since I became head moderator here at the Rx. He is as honest, ethical and generous of a boss any man could ask for. Marty has shown me nothing but class for close to two years. On a personal level he has been there whenever I needed him ( you can ask my family), on a business level he has never once told me something that was not 100% true.
Bottom line the future is best described as very upbeat and positive for The Rx. (no matter what you may read elsewhere).
Thanks to each and everyone of you for your support and loyalty to the best gambling forum on the internet -- bar none....
