I really have no where else to post this, so I'll put this here for the sake of posterity. I claim that Earnhardt Jr will be out of NASCAR racing is 5 years . . . 3 years would not surprise me. He'll claim retirement and go do something else maybe still in NASCAR, but not behind the wheel
Just call it a funny feeling I have. Every interview I've seen him in for the past 2 years always has him sounding bored with a faraway look in his eye. He's critical of NASCAR and is a strong advocate of a shortened race season.

I may very well be wrong. But I'm just posting this for posterity so that I can say "I told you so!". If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong, but show me an interview with him in the past year where he doesn't sound like he doesn't want to be there or where he sounds interested in the sport - it doesn't exist
Ill go a step further.........There will NO NASCAR you will recognize in 4 years.........GM and Chrys possibly out by next year. You cant spend bailout money on NASCAR. And racing fuel is a huge contributor to greenhouse gases as well as wasting imported oil.......
