THE CUBBIES COME OUT OF THIER SLUMBER TODAY :grandmaisCall me crazy but I have a 5 unit wager on the CUBBIES today with Lilly on the hill. Cubs bats are horrible for the last week-but common sense tells me it can not go on forever. Cubbies led the nat. leauge in hitting last season and must wake up at some point! I understand Ramirez is hurt and Derosa is gone-but I like Lilly today at Wrigley. I have lost 4 units on the Cubs the last 2 days so I am hoping to rally today with a 5 unit wager!! I like the Cubs too. Not a huge play for me, but I think this is a good spot. Playing at home, trying to avoid the sweep against a pretty mediocre Twins team, I think they finally pull their heads out of their asses. It also doesn't hurt that Lou is the type of manager that will read them The Riot Act for not playing well. If they can't motivated themselves, he'll make damn sure he does it.

Safe play IMO is the Total Runs of 4 for the Cubs. Yes they are due, but they are not the better team. They could still score some runs and lose the game as Minnesota is swinging the bats well.
