hit more homeruns than anyone ever over the age of 39....Carlton Fisk hit 95 homeruns after his 39th birthday , the most in MLB history...

BONDS HR watch 645 and counting...

Hank Aaron......755

Needs...........110

Thats atleast 2 years after this....

Projections

rest of season 26 to give him 58 this year

2004...........45

2005...........40

That gives him 756

Break it down like that and he has a great chance, but he will still have to do what no one has ever done to get there...

Thanks for your time..

Now thats one ball that may still have major value.

They say the baseball milestone balls have lost value since the McGwire ball..

I hate that arrogant POS. I admit he is a phenom and fun to watch, but he will never be the ballplayer Teddy Ballgame was.

barry is great, but Babe Ruth will always be number 1.. he is baseball.. go anywhere in the world and ask who babe ruth or barry bonds is. and they will know babe, and he has been dead for 60+yrs, his lifetime batting average, his world series titles, his pitching feats, all place him ahead of barry.. there is no comparison.. babe ruth is, and was so much more. and i do not like the yankees.. barry is among everyone else, you see ( you have babe, and then there is everyone else). and barry is near the top..

SSI, without a doubt, if Bonds does break Aaron`s mark Babe will always be the king...Just look at Aaron, nobody thinks of Aaron at the top it will always be "The Babe"

Bonds now has 201 homers in this decade (century) 17 more than anyone else (Sosa 184). That right there is pretty incredible less than four full seasons over 200 round trippers.

do some research on the babe, he made baseball (without a doubt), read how kids reacted to him, read about how many father's took their son's to see the babe laying in his coffin, so they could tell them.. you have seen the greatest ballplayer of all times.. babe was so much more, he is an american icon, transcends the game.. bonds is not even remotely in this category..

IM TALKING ABOUT STATS

NOT ONLY THE STATS THE REALITY THAT NO ONE CLOSE IN ALL BASEBALL RIGHTNOW GETS PITCHED AROUND LIKE HIM

HE GETS 3-6 PITCHES ALL GAME LONG-UNBELIEVABLE

I KNOW HE JUICES BUT THIS GUY IS MORE THAN THAT.

I WAS WONDERING DOES JUICE HELP IN BATTING AVERAGE?

If Bonds 'juices' I`d say it helps in every way it leaves him stronger and allows him to stay strong throughout the season...What he is doing is incredible either way IMO...No one has ever beened pitched to this carefully his on base avg. just keeps getting higher...It is remarkable to watch, one thing thats always been the case with power hitters , they get better as they get older, even into their 30`s so its not that unusual he`d have a power surge after 30...

Juice, gives you more power.. i played baseball for a lot of years,, when i started weight lifting, i became a power hitter.. weight training and steroids (help greatly) for most.. maybe ruben sierra doesnt think so..

as for stats, yes barry is the greatest active player, not even close.. as for all time, no he is not.. babe is better, his pitching overpowers barry's steals (as for better all around). he homered every 11+ to barry's 13+. his batting average blows barry's away by nearly 50 points.. he is still ahead in homers, ------ if your just looking at stats, look at aaron, most homerun, most rbi's, 3rd in hits..

if your asking, who is the best ballplayer of all time, then its babe ruth, hands down..

Jman, barry did not become a power hitter, until he started weight training, and possibly juicing.. i did not juice but merely weight training for power -- is enough.. it helps tremendously, the juice just adds even more power..

Babe Ruth played in an entirely and vastly different country, from the Roaring 20's to the Great Depression. Baseball was king, and The Babe was King of baseball. Today Barry may be one of the most succesful atheletes of his time, but he is just another star among a galaxy of stars coming from a half a dozen sports sharing the limelight. Is he bigger than MJ, or Shaq, or the NFL's top stars like Emmitt Smith, Bret Favre, and several others like Tiger Woods, not really. The Babe was and is as close to royalty as any American sports figure can come. The Bambino, The Sultan of Swat, The House that Ruth Built. Barry who?
