Anyone who thinks Ohio State has a chance in this game is absolutely crazy. The Ohio State program is my favorite program, and even i'm on Texas. This Texas team is going to prove a point tonight, they have a chip on their shoulder, and they will dominate this game to prove they belonged in the national championship game. This is a no brainor. Keep in mind Ohio State barely beat Wisconsin this year, and we all seen what happened to them against the Noles!

TEXAS BIG TONIGHT THEY WIN BY 14 OR MORE, THIS IS MY BIGGEST PLAY OF THE YEAR!

Good luck to all, but don't bet on ohio state, you will lose

What scares me is Texas seems almost too predictable at times on offense. Between SHipley and Cosby you can almost bet your house that those will be the only 2 factors in the passing game. Neither has temendous speed, hence Texas rarely goes downfield. Ohio State is a very live dog here I believe. Give me Tressel over Mack(even with Tressel's recent struggles)

Not bashing your pick, just trying to give you my opinion on the Buckeyes... as you stated you are an Ohio State fan right?

agree.
i think in 2 years tOSU will be able to hang w/ the elite. Pryor will have to take his lumps.

also heard there is a division among the team (not necessarily bad) where the underclassmen have their clique and are looking to the future instead of the now. The Sr. that are gonna be 1st round picks (plus Beanie) that stuck around will be looking to not embarrass themselves, but that only goes so far.
chemistry isn't the strong point of the OSU squad right now.

Yes, i am a big ohio state fan, but the big ten is down this year, and i think texas has alot more to play for, and i have learned to never bet with your team especially when the are big underdogs

What the Seminoles did to Wisconsin is not a factor here. You can never compare games, especially a non conference game and a bowl where FSU was sort of home team and OSU was playing away to Wisconsin. Yes, Texas is a better team and can easily beat them and yes OSU haven't won a Bowl game or a high profile game in a couple of years (Michigan games don't count nowadays), probably the last one was in Austin a couple of years ago against McCoy.

Comparison can be done between USC and Texas playing OSU, but USC at home is way too tough to beat, and OSU was with Boeckman as QB and Wells did not play in that game. Things are a bit different now, outcome could be the same though, but OSU won't be an easy opponent for the Longhorns.

im going to preface this by saying i also love texas tonight but...

what exactly does texas have to play for? they have NO SHOT at any piece of the title

if you go back and look at teams who faltered late and went to lessor bowls they did not fare well lets see

BC played in ACC title game and was 1 win away from BCS lost to vandy

BAMA was 1Q v fla from playing for the title....got handled by utah

a 1 loss TTech team was snubbed from a BCS bowl berth bc they took OhioSt over them went to the cotton bowl and got beat by a hungry Ole Miss team

texas was 1 fluke play from beating TT and potentially going undefeated and playing on thursday night now they have to play in this game vs Ohio St....maybe Mack has them ready but it cannot be denied in the back of their 20year old heads they are thinking about what could have been

on the flip side a 2loss ohiost was selected for the BCS game instead of going to a lessor bowl like they should have....

just something to ponder....really hope texas whips them bc talent wise they should....

Texas and Mr. McCoy have ALOT to play for...

Anytime a team gets snubbed the way they did, that team has something to prove. The Longhorns took it personal that they get rejected for the BIG XII title game thus the BCS national championship.

They will be out to prove that they belonged in that game. Ohio State on the other hand "backed" into a BCS game period.

texas will prob get AP vote if they win easily

i thinks its rather significant to be crowned #1 by a legendary and world renowned news agency

having said that ohio state wins 31-13

after utah's win over bama and a 13-0 season....i HIGHLY DOUBT that....a stink could have been made had they won easily AND the OU/FLA game was a close game (neb 97) when they got the coaches to switch their vote after thrashing Tenn in the Orange but after Utah's win and the publicity they are getting after becoming the lone undefeated...its not gonna happen for Texas...noway

the OU/FLA winner gets both pieces....

Texas Blowout

Look at what happened to Texas Tech. They sure got whole lot to proof. OSU defense is going to step up and pressure McCoy all day. Just like what Ole Miss did to Graham Harrell.

Did anyone notice that the tOSU backers are saying pretty much the same thing as PSU backers said before Rose Bowl?

Defense wins games like this. Last two years against SEC's best with Florida and LSU, the speed on offense and defense killed OSU. Texas is good, but they are nowhere near as good as Florida and LSU past 2 years. And OSU has unquestionably a better defense than Texas. OSU might not win, especially with a frosh at QB, but their defense which is loaded with first and second round NFL prospects who returned for their senior season will help OSU keep them very close in this game.

Who have they played in the Big 12 with a running combo even close to the skill level of Pryor/Beanie Wells? Only team maybe is Ok-State, and that was their closest game of the year outside of Ttech. And I would take Buckeyes D over Ok-St any day of the week.
